Hey guys, name's Nathan Andrew - been a member for some time here, but more of a lurker, I wanted to start a sketchbook thread to monitor my growth and get some feedback and criticism. Not sure how frequently I will update this guy, but I will try to put new images up whenever I can. Thanks for stopping by.
Couple images to start if off here:
rough environment of sorts
iterations for a headdress and design
some non specific weapons
monochrome study after pyle
figure study from photo tried to play up the lighting and temperature. Reference - Deviantart
just some sketching.

There's always much to learn and far to go. Like the work so far, Looking great. It's good to see other former lurkers come in from the cold. I'll be bokmarking your SB.
very good start with your sketchbook- i like your stuff.. especially character design of this egyptian costume on nice body good pencil drawings..
keep it up man!
I like the Egyptian character design the best, great headpieces. You have a nice sense of color too.
Came here from another thread where you had posted examples of Japanese style artworks and was really impressed with your taste

Thanks guys. Derlaine thank you, yeah you know it seems like it might be tough to find really nice anime designs, there is a lot of cliche floating around out there but once you dig around you can find some incredible artists. I'd start listing them all but I wouldn't get to the end of this post. Daniel C thanks so much man, your pencils kick ass, I love that stuff.
Small update here, some little penciled chicas again, and some digital girls..playing around with some very very simple abstract shapes, and also tried to find a way to incorporate some shape containment... trying to utilize a blend of soft colors, but contain the shapes that I wanted to pop out with outlines.. not sure if it's working all that well, but none the less....

Very very nice work you have here.
Just to echo natzuur, those bots seem to be your weakest skill, so id like to see some work on mechanical things.

really nice work here! I love those digital girls you just posted, particularly the ones in the middle and on the right. Nice use of line. I think the one in the middle could use just a little bit more time spent on the hands, but the portraits look terrific
Nice start for your sketchbook ill keep my eye out for this one.
Cant wait to see more!
nice colors~please update:>
Great work, superb colours!
