Nice work, man. Good seeing so many study sketches. The tonal control of your digital scenes are also good, maybe just look at filling the whole range of the spectrum, from white to black. I say this only because the dark areas sometimes don't seem dark enough. You'll find that solid dark areas make the highlights pop more and give the image an overall mass.
Keep at it!
Good lord man, you just kicked my ass!!! ^__^
warburton Thanks man I really appreciate it.
The_Flying_Dutchman Great advice! paying more attention too values now.
Capt Surge aha glad to be of service :3 cheers man.
Bunch of studies for the enviro that I'm currently painting (oh god its a nightmare) and some sketches for a redesign of a character in my folio.
Also I keep paintings forests, no more forests. If I do paint another forest next I'am a douche.
The anatomy studies are great!
Lots of variety and clean lines.
Values are very solid, too. Your colors unfortunately aren't as good.
They often are too gray or too saturated in places they shouldn't be.
Don't trust photos color-wise when it comes to shadows. Photo always have grey shadows and it flattens down the picture. Examine the environment to determine which color and saturation a certain shadow should have.
Hope that helps!
Stpete Thanks man. Yeah your right my environments are bad, going to start doing way more!
Xelar Thanks dude. Yeah I still have ways to go with my colour and understanding how it all works. Definitely need more real life observations thanks!
Some more studies and a revamp of an old character I did last year. So much to learn.
kikindaface oh man thats a familiar face that I havent seen in awhile! its been a while, glad to see you posting again on conceptart. Look forward to seeing you more! and yeah ahah good point I'll keep that in mind. Cheers buddy.
Mannn getting so much better! loving the sketches and ideas too, watch your edges though that fuzzy chalky brush might not be getting your those sharp hard edges you need to draw attention and focus in points mate. Keep it up!
Fudgeloaf Really good crit man, I have been abusing the shit out of that brush and not actually thinking about edges enough. Trying now to change they way I render again, hopefully it shows through a little more on the skull. Thanks!
More studies and thumbnails for a personal game project I've been thinking about.
Work, work, work

Alright this is my golden boy entry for Sept, I broke the links in the previous post so there wouldn't be to many repeats
(attempt to fix the perspective)
( Old Bloodsports piece which I revamped with stuff that I've learnt recently)
your stuff is crazy and distressing
the studies are awesome too but i think they look a bit stiff
visit my Sketchbook!
Everytime i drop by here i'm never disappointed by the sheer amount of work you upload. The beard stuff is cool as fuck, and the walking animations are awesome. How do you do that?
Its clear to see you progression by checking out the bloodsports gaunlet cover you reworked, which looks tons beter. Though one thing i did notice (which i'm not sure is deliberate or not) is the wizard looks like hes grabbing that fat dudes dick which looks abit odd, even on an image like this =p.
Great updates dude!
