long time no see (online at least).
i see your lil gremlins are still up to their business.
quality of your art's definitely improved since i last saw it.
as far as your grass question, best answer i can give is that it doesnt appear attached to the ground, so some shadow and disturbance around where the grass has sprouted up should help some.
Hey dude, good to see you! I'm thinking of ditching the entire bg anyway. The mountains were done for a different image and look out of place.
I'm gonna try something brighter and more happy, with butterflies n'shit =D Have fun dude!
hehehehehe really funny pic! i really love the litle green one on left! He rocks! just keep em coming :chug:
shadows under them would also help
The emotional feel of the pic is great. I like the style also.
Try blocking in the grass in flat tones . Detail in the foreground, then just use tone in the background. You don't have to draw every strand of grass.
Also remember that water takes on the colour of the sky. Work on that stream to make it 'sit in' more.
Pretty good use of photos.
nice, i agree with the comment about the shadows, and a little more detail up front.
The face on that little gremlin holding the leaf reminds me of Hobbes from "Calvin and Hobbes". Really nice stuff.
Even a blind squierrel finds a nut every now and again.
That little dude on the far right with the leigh and the "rock on" hand sign is hilarious. Great stuff.
I saw this and totally thought that it was going to be something dark.
Love your style, love the subject, love the portayal and rendering
