a la bapsi
thank ye bapsi!
started my first idow ever! the topic is evil witch's oven! that poor salamander was turned into an oven by that evil witch, what a bitch!
cheers oren! this fucking internet stick is killing me, i cant upload anything, anywhere, it takes hours and trillions of tries to upload even an image of 50 kb size..... lets see if i can get it working now............................................... ..................
Awsome salamander oven I really like the idea, though right now the enviroment seems a bit bright due to the powerfull lights of the oven. Myebe pull the highlights down a bit making the contrast a bit more subtle.
A little idea i had while looking at it and reading oren90īs comment, maybe bring a real salamander into the picture looking at the oven or something that might help telling the story.
anyway great piece looking forward to seing it finished
Great updates, loving your CHOW entry
aww sorry for your internet. sounds like you have my 26k modem connection I had for so many dang years (from 2000 to 2005). I hate that crap, hope it gets fixed. liking the art and i want to see more hot babes!
Winland finally snared me
Winland sounded like a great place to be... had to take a peek. Haven't seen the whole thread so far, but looked at the first few pages and the last 10 or so to see how far you've come.
You do good work.
C&C: The Aztec/Amazon warrior a few pages back (the one holding up the guy's heart) has a short upper-left arm... the foreshortening didn't work too well on it.
For Chow #231: Love the idea and the character; for such a fancy bike, she should be hauling around a much larger mail bag, don't you think? Maybe towing a giant mailbag behind her vehicle somewhere
Question: How hard is it to do studies this time of year in Finland with less natural light from the sun (being so close to the Arctic Circle)? I guess you guys learn to get by.
Do you have an aircard for internet? Those suck Hope you can get real broadband sometime soon.
Normally i dont suggest this, but i want to see more detailing and small detail in your work. I think your amazing at concepting and making illustrations, but with your particular style sometimes the broader strokes can be distracting since your marks are usually uninform in size.
In this since you are opposite of Jasper Sanders. Where he uses the 1px brush alot you seem to use the 20pixel brush. This leaves your work feeling somewhat non-descript (i think thats the word im looking for).
Anyways, we always give you great comments and compliments so i thought i would try to be a good peer and give you some critique.
work on adding tighter detail, varying texture, and smoother rendering
Great work coming out of here! I agree with lolbbq also about the detail; I see your work
getting pushed to a great level of rendering and using nice colors and lighting;
adding in some small details to draw the focus more would push you in a good direction I think.
Keep up the awesome!
Haha, what a bitch turning that poor salamanda into an oven! To be honest, it does look prity cool though, wouldnt mind one in my kitchen.;p
Lovin your style and technique, keep it up.
Parsa thats another great piece. Thnx for sharing the process. I think the swords are confused with the background rock a little
very great art imagenation
keep it up

thank you for the considerate feedback i can see it all now!
more details eh? will do
i would like such an oven as well thank you!
yah, i feared it would turn out as troubling, but i really cannot fix it anymore D: thanks man, youre always welcome here
update for the salamander oven and a 1.5 hour speedpaint i just felt like doing one. Ill see if i have time to start doing this week's chow too!
Salamander Oven is kickass, really nice textures and light happenin there! I would like to see some more texture variation going on though, if not on the oven to keep the salamander slickness, then at least around it on the walls/floor to emphasize it.
so ho ! first of all thanks for your constant input and commenting on my SB ^^ again not much to say as your work is awesome as always ...maybe just one little thing ...maybe try to incorporate some softer shadows and more shadows in general because from time to time some of the pics look a bit ...hm flat and Dude cīmon you definitely got the skills to take this further !
About the IDW ^^ this idea of yours is so fairytale-like and lovely ! AWESOME ! and btw ...I was THAT close on joining this one myself for the first time ^^
