Odayga: Thanks! Hopefully I'll have many more.
Haven't been getting many new clients lately, and I haven't done any personal pieces in a long time, so I'm working to fix those. Here's some sketches for potential portfolio pieces:
Just found out that I got into Expose 9! Yay! Not nearly as exciting as the Spectrum news, but hey, I'll take it.
Quick little illustration for one of my clients:
The wip of a potential portfolio piece. Got a long way to go, especially on the design of the creature:
And these are all sketches for the same piece. This is work for one of my clients (can't say which). I don't usually show off many work sketches, but I figured since they're still not quite happy with any of these compositions, that I'd show them off here:
Awesome stuff, Noah. I'm really liking the compositions of your ship illustrations. Keep posting stuff, I love looking at your work. And why does this SB have 4 stars? Shouldn't it be 5? *gasp*
Deadlyhazard: Thanks! I had a good time playing around with those compositions. I did one more after these and they finally approved it. Now to the final!
Aryeh: Thanks! I've tried in the past to do line drawing sketches (as seems to be more normal in the industry)... but it just didn't work for me. These felt so much more natural.
Quick little color study:
An old sketch for a piece I never took to final. Still debate occasionally finishing it... eh, we'll see:
A couple oil paintings. The first was actually painted over by the second. And both are being painted over by a new painting. Just wasn't happy enough with either to bother keeping them.
Couple quick digital figure studies from life:
Hey Noah, very inspiring stuff.! I went over to your blog and skipped through your portfolio....sweet!
I love that you're doing full color thumbs, it really conveys more than a grayscale thumb. Over at your blog you said, color isn't scary. And you are damn right, i'm just dicovering this myself....but I'm at the beginning of this path and sure as hell need some inspiring stuff like you do, to keep going! Thanks a lot.
Lyno: lol, I get around on the internet. I don't advertise my sketchbook here much, though. Don't need anybody seeing my old work and getting the wrong idea.
jacobanderson: Thanks! And I agree: I've always loved seeing an artist's rougher works.
Delmar: Thanks! Yeah, color's amazingly fun. Just keep experimenting with it and you'll get the hang of it.
I just wrapped up an art test for Ubisoft Massive. We'll see how it turns out, but it's nice that they're even considering me.
Beautiful illustrations and figure studies.. keep on going dude. your going places bigtime..
Odayga: Thanks. Sadly it looks like it's move-back-in-with-the-parents time for me when I graduate. Oh well, should be fairly temporary.
Some sketches I did for a D&D piece. You can read more about it on my blog.
Beautiful enviros. Love the colors you use. Also it's great to see that you have such a good sense of b+w values.
Great work! Keep posting
Dana's HUNGRY LIKE A WOLF sketch blog
Loving your figurative work as always. keep it up
Just beautiful and imaginative environments once more from the Bradley! Do you make a living off of freelance nowadays? Didn't you just graduate from VCU?
