Whoa!! that Moleskine artworks are amazing!!
You want to save humanity, but it's people that you just can't stand
- John Lennon ...
dmoreno: Thanks. I'm actually getting a new sketchbook tomorrow, since I finished that one up. Hopefully gonna do more paintings in that one.
Couple more quick landscapes. I should have some more traditional sketchbook pages to show here soon.
Great stuff! I love your crisp brushing and colors. The sense of scale is amazing in the scene paints.
Looking forward to more post =).
Great sketchbook! Keep up with the figure paintings. I noticed that your from VCU. I recently got accepted into VCU, do you mind if I ask you some questions about the school?
d-woo: Congrats! If you've got any questions, I'd be happy to answer them to the best of my ability.
Another figure painting from class. Next class we'll be starting with longer, multiple-session paintings.
Great stuff, love your paintings. Not much else to say other than keep doing what you're doing!
Storyboard for class. The panels are probably carried a bit too far for a practical storyboard, but I had a fun time with it.
The scene, for those who have read the story, is near the end where they actually finally meet Cthulhu.
I'll try to get some more traditional sketchbook work scanned to post up here soon. Semester's coming to a close, so life is relatively busy.
Well, all done with school. Just one year left! Eek! Gotta get good enough to get a job, and mighty fast at that.
Here's a long pose painting from my figure painting class. Probably... 15 hours? Learned a lot by slowing down and spending considerable time on a piece.
Oil on canvas, 24x32"
Krato: Thanks, man! Good idea. I could use to do some more pencil work.
Another little imagined portrait for practice. This past semester of figure painting has really bolstered my confidence painting heads.
A WIP for an enviro piece. Need to do some more portfolio work if I'm going to have a hope of getting a job in just a year.
super nice studies. your work is a pleasure to browse.
