You are at a great start! And so young! If you are truly looking to get better though, definitely work on your figure specificity.
The hand proportions are a little wide, and for that your going to need to read up alot about hand anatomy. You are also missing alot of detail within the hand that makes the hand such a dynamic object. The muscle contours, and the hand lines seem random at most, but usually there is a pattern.
In your figure drawing definitely read some reference books on proportion and structure of the body. As well as the hieght and width. A good book on this is : Anatomy of Figure by Andrew Loomis. Also you will want to do some fast poses using pixel lovely website because it will help you evolve and capture the gesture in a fluid manner instead of a static boring looking stance.
Again you are at a great start! and I can not wait till you start doing some studies (which I also advise) to improve on aspects of your drawings.
More character designs

some figure drawing
A portrait study i started working on monday it's still a wip
random character and another tree study wip this is from my imagination
I would advise you to only ever draw from your imagination if it is to put something you have been studying into practice, it looks like you have been studying anatomy in here by guessing it from memory. That's the kind of thing I have been doing for a while now and it has got me into a rut that I am only now clawing my way out of.
better to gt it right from the get go and do lots of studies from real world and photographic references.
you are definitely off to a good start, it will be interesting to watch this space.
sketches (not fully realized works here)
just 2 poses
You gotta keep pushing Malik! Don't stop and you'll become so good
I think you should work on some proportions and keep drawing those figures.
Draw from Loomis books and most importantly draw from life.
Draw draw draw! And keeep pushing yourself. Don't stay in your comfort zone.
Here's a link to where you can get the Loomis books if you do not already have them:
Trying copying his drawings and then try to draw it from memory to see if you learned anything.
Keep it up man! I hope to see more
a quick messy sketch you could say i didn't take time on this haha but i'll fix the proportion and tone and everything later but i just wanted to upload one more thing for today
quick messy sketch pt 2 so I see proportion problems in the pose so far but beside that i think it all looks pretty well besides the scanner scanning it bad
Andrew loomis studies i'm staring to like like his work the more studies i do
thx for the advice man i am already working on lots of studies of life but for the link i'll try and use that as a reference.
these are kinda old not to old like maybe 1 or 2weeks old but there wip designs
more andrew loomis studies and some of my own mixed in there
Keep hitting that Loomis!
One study I like to do is to copy Loomis drawings while looking at the reference...then covering up both the reference and your drawing and drawing the same image from memory.
That way you can see what you're retaining and what you need to work on
Hope to see more Keep puuuushin'
so I did't know if I wanted to post this or not cause i didn't like the way it came out.I decided i should cause that's the reason why i started posting my sketchbook on here to become better and show everybody my improvement but yh this is me messing around a lil in my sketch book.
loomis study and some sketches i just finished right now
Hey Kidman! good start with the studies - its the way it should be done - i can see that you seem to have taken some good practices on board with the figure drawing and your breaking your anatomy into cylidrical forms too (which is something i knew about when i was younger) i would say yeh just keep knocking out those anatomy studies looking at things like Posemaniacs.com and sketching manikins.
one flaw ive noticed is when your characters are facing the viewer their faces arnt symmetrical - this could be that your detailing an eye first then moving on to the other - either way its becoming less noticable so your probably on top of it. Keep it up pal.
thx man and your right bout my eyes and i think that I struggle on them but i have been working a lot on them so I hope there are improvements in them.
