Thanks for your feedback on my logo. I decided to stay with the core of the current look,yet adding texture and color. Since what I do is based on ancient scriptural (biblical) teachings, I wanted to continue to use the Papyrus font.
I'm thinking of going with the purple as the main color (representing royalty), and utilizing the other two based on special events, etc.
i agree with mirana about using Papyrus. it's just an overused font.
to go with the old paper texture, maybe you could use a brushed looking font. and yeah, the drop shadow makes it look too modern and pretty much makes the paper texture irrelevant.
you can get some great hebrew-looking fonts that still look like the english alphabet from myfonts.com if that's the look you're going for. http://www.myfonts.com/search?search...nts.com&page=1
then like mirana said, maybe some hand texturing or just use a texture from an image as a layer mask in ps to get that weathered look on the "K".
