Thanks for your answer, mate. I used to do that too. I have a strong suspicion that we actually, more or less, using similar methods in our work. The difference is, you are much more confident in your experimentation. While i doubt my method a lot . So just to look at your SB thread here is, to me, a self criticizing experience and also inspiring me at the same time. Keep doing the experiments and share your experience here
Those curious thumbs are gorgeous. The wheelchair man is looking great also. That a scanned linework, i reckon?
Hey kostas...you work hard
I love the robogirl, expecially in colors. I also like a lot the fantasy figures in this page (2271) vivid anathomy! the grey value on warriors is too cool!
Man, 2271# skeleton rendering is mind blowing! Chow is really great, why didn't you send it man? The abstract animal-like thumbnails are fun. Keep up mate!
My Sketchbook ---> http://conceptart.org/forums/showthr...42#post3225942
Man! These quick, gritty thumbnails and sketches are looking gooood! Post #2278 is especially wonderful. I'm going to get back to flipping through your sketchbook - thanks for stopping by mine!
I have been away for a while and now when I return you are better then ever! This one is one of the best of your when it comes to light and shadow http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1280227180, the hacker is really great and it's a shame I didn't see it in CHOW finals, he looks like a reall nice grandpa-guy.
And I gotta agree with the others about your poses, they are very vivid and really intresting to look at. I really like all the fantasy stuff you're doing, some designs are very original - and haha I still cannot forget the cactusman you drawed some time ago.

mates sorry for being absent these days.I am really working hard to improve my pieces on a more final stage while also trying a lot of things.I work on multiple pieces working little by little each of them so that i can find things when i look a work later(i find mistakes easily). I also worked more on some under NDA things.
so here somethings
I feel that thumbnail of red knight was better because of muted colours, also purple one is good

the knight rocks... just love the textures and everything oO
Just, like said before, mute the colors a bit, the red is too dominating right now because of the high saturation, imo.... besides that, awesome stuff as always, and way too much to comment on everything ;P
Keep it up you beast.
It's okay, take your time with things, it is a good idea to leave some pieces aside for a few days, working a little bit on each one until you find you like something so much.
The first painting is very interesting compositionally, it will be interesting to see where you take it.
The knight paintings/studies are also interesting, red is such a powerful colour, I would be careful with painting too much of it in, although you haven't necessarily overdone it, just saying in general. I would try to imply eyes on your knight, if there is some human touch it can help to connect with people looking at the piece. Alternatively you could put eyes somehow on those ghosty/skelly guys at his feet, and leave the knight expressionless. Just some ideas, it's your painting, so we see where things go, have fun and looking forward to seeing what happens. =)
hey mate, hadn't replied in a while. post 2278 - nice thumbnails ) Only thing, that bother me is that sometimes you post giant images, and there's no particular reason for that... or am I wrong? Anyway chars as always sweet (maybe a lot of knight-skelet-medieveal theme) cheers!
Wonderful work! Thank you very much for commenting in my sketchbook. And I really love to watch your amazing progress, remember your sketchbook since registered here =) I'm just a little autistic when it comes to writing something, anyway your works are great. Keep it coming and you'll become a monster soon )

Hey kostas. I wasn't really checking your work for two months. And it's hard to keep up with your awesome updates . I would really like to see a bigger composition with more characters interacting.Keep going.Maybe you should do more sketches like in post 2164. The clean lines are really good. And maybe you shouldn't use too much adjustment tools in photoshop. Just create a piece only with colour and brushes.

It looks like you draw a lot. I quit drawing and I am no longer in the habit of look at things as something I could draw. My best art is when I didn't feel like drawing, just pushing to draw something. It seemed like a lot of work, but most of the time I was looking at it knowing what is next, but seemed like didn't want to do it. Over all I can see it don't take long to draw anything and make it look real. It's just a matter of filling shading and add highlights and shadows, and it is done, and seems very quick. I just need to draw more so it can seem as simple as it is. I need to be more like what I see in you.
hello mates.Thnx for supporting even when i am absent. These days i was drawing on random and not organized hours and things went of track, also my brother had some work to do and i wasnt able to stay on the pc for a lot of hours.A lot of side things happening here and keeping my busy here and there.
I am working hard and researching in order to have a more stabilized base (at least to be able to prepare an "one style portfolio") and then from there to be able to bring up my experimental pieces and styles.
i will have to totally improve a lot parts of my work and i will keep working hard to do it.
I also have to keep working on the other pieces, i am just doing a lot of research and thinking now.
now sorry for not replying seperately but with that random schedule i went of track, i will try to answer fast something.
Seraph, i understand.i just putted whatever in high res because some mates asked if i could upload pictures in bigger resolution
Yep mates i also think the muted colors where better as i was always a fan of these.
yaa guys i totally agree about the arm.lol now that i see it better it really seems out of place.
Damn i have to find my rythm again!!!thank you all very much for the great comments and support!!!lets all keep up
Wonderful stuff mate!!!
Damn youur colour usage has improved ten-fold!! And as a result my jealousy has increased proportionately!!
Wonderful treatment of the metal on those various charcters, I especially like the hacker, that gold armoured angel sketch and this lst character (great job with the patina on the mask, very convincing!).
Keep up the awesome work mate!! You've inspired me to sketch a bit more now and also play with texture brushes!!
Stuff looks really good man, the colours in the last piece look really good but the render seems a little different and in my opinion isnt as good as your normal stuff. I think its because you seem to be using smaller brushes, it doesnt look as smooth and clean.
Just something for you to think about
Everything else looks amazing as usual. Keep up the hard work.
