You have an knack for composition and framing. Good sense of rhythm. Just watch the center of gravity. Keep up the good work.
ashess-ahh yeah i can totally see that now! thanks for pointing that out to me. i do have alot of trouble with the weight distibution with the feet and hips.
kingkostas-thanks man, not to much improvement haha just studys.
Retronym-Yeah right now im trying to find my best approach for a painting. With still lifes and some studys i tend to dive straight into value. Sometimes i do this with my characters to. Then other times ill do line then put value on top. Thanks for droping by man!
DKHutcheson-Thx ya! Yeah i think i should have stayed with my rhino guy probly would have did better in the challenge haha. no worrys though its all just for learning and having fun doing it.
jigje-Yeah i spent so much earasing trying to get that arm haha! thanks for the support!
Philomathes-I wish i was good at composition but i fail at it haha. My rthyms blah and weights just wacky now that i looked over my drawings again.
Thanks for droping by man!
MoHog-Thx man! Yeah if it wernt for this forum id be going in circles and circles. Its amazing to be able to wake up everyday and be inspired by this site and the people on it.

More fashion studys guys this time

BUY MY SHIRTS PLEASE - They're awesome.
You're definitely developing an awesome style here! I'm gonna have to try doing fashion studies now; they're working out really well for you. In comparison from your previous monsters and beast you have gotten very good. Keep it up! Why not enter a CHOW or two? Or have you already?
callouses on the fingers. If you don’t have any, you’re not drawing enough.
I will be an Artist or nothing! ; The Sketchbook
hey man i love the fashion studies... and that "horrible creation" ain't so bad, actually I kind of like it. keep it up!
You've got some smoooth stuff going around in here my friend. I'll be looking out for new stuff...
Hey there, thank you for stopping by my Sketchbook
I really like the fashion studies of the guys you did! One thing to watch out for though is that the guy on the far right looks like he is about to fall over, although I'm not quite sure why.
The "horrible" creature is actually really good! I see what you mean about going dark, but if you keep working at it, and watch how dark you are going while working I'm sure you could easily fix the problem!
Great sketchbook! Keep up the hard work
My57-thanks i still have so much to learn.
Quasi-almost-Thank you! i really dont know how my style is developing. I can kinda see it now i guess just with my characters though. Really just trying to let it come to me, and not force anything to much. Ive been kinda scared to enter the chows and what not to tell you the truth haha. I do need to break out of my shell though ill have to give them a try.
papervampire-Thanks for the support maybe ill go back to that monster see what i can do to it.
hala-Thanks but honestly my sketchbook is far from inspiring i have so much more to learn this is only the tip of the iceberg.
Konstruktion-Yeah the fashion studys are really fun to do. I need to stop being lazy and put them to use though.
Tom van der Linden-Thanks will do i need to study more haha!
`king-Thanks for droping by man! Yeah i used to just draw the pictures randomly when i was younger. now im steping back and reading every page trying to draw every thing in it to understand it more.
Spirit-Yeah the fashion studys sure are really fun to do. Also get to draw pretty people as well wish i could do fashion or something haha! Totally true about the tilting thing its my real fla i need to start studying weight distribution more. Thanks for pointing that out though somtimes im just blind and goes right through me without noticing. Thanks for droping by
So im back from camping! It was the best camping trip ive ever been on. We camped in the no camp zone and got away with it. It was literally 20 feet away from the jemez hot springs. when we got there it was so crowded there it was non sence. Once it hit night time though everyone started to leave. We were to only ones in the hot springs on top of the mountain all night long. one of the most inspiring trips ive ever been on.
Heres my very very poor rendition of the hot springs about 30 or 40 minutes. gona work on it somemore no ref used. Thank you all for the comments its really making me work harder- till next time -Omerta
Feels like ive been going through an artists block i havnt been liking any of my drawings. Gona just try and draw it out i guess
Hey Omert A thanks again for the crit and comment. Dood some solid stuff in here mate! I think for your hot springs paint, some ways to make it interesting or liven up the composition is by maybe making it a little more populated and by doing so u can create a depth of field by placing the figures in perspective. also the tall trees seem to be all alone, maybe some shorter ones that fade into the distance will also help to create more depth of field in the image.
As for artist blocks, sometimes it's just good to step away and do something else, and then when ur really missing it, it'll be like an explosion of goodness! Also sometimes don't try to push or force an image just play around with all the different shapes and abstractions, might see something you like, u never know....
Keep the goodies coming brah!!

Impressive character work! I really love what you have in here. Your lines are beautiful, and you've inspired me to do some fashion studies! Also great bridgeman studies. I've never seen his books...but I'm gunna have to check em out cuz you make them look amazing.
I always find that when I don't like any of my work it is because my eye has improved. Which is a good thing. So celebrate!
Will be back to be inspired again later. =)
nice stuff going on, I like the composition and colours of the girl in the pool...
the last figure is cool, though the head seems too small - I think you may have a tendency toward drawing them a little on the small side?
Diggin' the Ditch?
art block sucks man : ( i hope you find something inspiring soon
I totally love those silhouettes and the scene of the woman in the water
What brush did you use for the silhouettes?
snootchy-Thanks yeah i just realized ive never really put my figures into a landscape before, and made it very hard for me to draw was a good challenge though. Took your advice and did some shape abstractions.
IndigoSummers-Thanks Indigo! You have some really cool characters yourself. Im glad i can inspire people to draw thats inspiring to me!
ditchman-Hey whats up ditchman! Yeah i think i do have a tendency to draw my heads small. the heads always been a problem for me and still is. i need to stop being lazy and do more head studies! Thanks for droping by man.
hala-Yeah art blocks do suck. Its not that im not drawing its just im not liking my drawings. As for the brushes im using a oil brush in photoshop i downloaded it ages ago think from the photoshop thread. Thanks for the support!
This started with me drawing a square and then it evolved into mechs i only like a couple of them. Ok back to studys my brain hurts!
yeah i know that feeling--it can be very frustrating, was feeling like that last week. it's just something that you gotta wait it out xx
anyway, I'm totally loving that green monster thing--got a lot of good tension going on--it's believable
very nice, and i like the fashion studies very much. Also nice mechas in perspective(do more of these) a lot of nice things, and dont worry you are really close to the next level.
Just keep it up !!!
AWESOME improvement! please keep it up! great work!!!
Thank you all for the support and comments!
Its really making me work harder.
Heres a unfinished still life and a rembrandt color study.
Also worked on my monster a tad bit more. Gona start posting more step by steps see were im going wrong.
Love the start you've made on this one- http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...3&d=1245862095!!!
And the TC piece turned out really good!
And that Master copies great! (In painter?)
Keep at it bro!
About those vase studies: keep in mind that within perspective the top oval of a round object will be flatter than the bottom.
Wonderful work here
Still life would need some work on perspective, but looks great

JailHouseRock2-Thanks for the continous support man! Yeah that dragon sketch was for the dailey sketch group thing in the middle of it i was like no!!!
im drawing another character to the side so i stoped haha. But im using photoshop using some oil brushes and expiremented with the textures actually really liked it.. Still trying to figure out what pixel size is best for me. Cheers!
corza334-Thank you Fashion studys are fun. I need to do some more of them actually.
yongs-Thanks man! Seems alot of people like the fashion studys now im gona have to try and put them to work in my character designs now.
walnut-Yeah ive been haveing a really hard time with all the round edges. I think i might be using to big of a pixel size to it feels really scratchy to paint. Gona have to conentrate more. Thanks for droping by man!
Quikenobi-Ahh thank you! Yeah right now im having a hard time getting the rounds to match each other.Iill have to work more on the perspective.
Thanks for the comment!
Got a phone call from a buddy of mine to day and i got into some art show downtown. Its on August14th and I get to sumit 5 peices if anyone lives in new mexico you guys should stop by.
Im so bad with color so im studying some masters!
Went back to an old apple still life and made it pretty
Why is it i only like 1 out of 50 characters i draw. Anyway started as simple squares and evolved into one of those diablo 2 guys in baals lair that blow up on you.
