Great progress over the past 3 years.Keep up with great studies.
Good stuff here mate!
Your painting style is very elegant and very precise. I really like that.
I also like the way you deal with colors. Mostly because I have a very serious problem with it. Color to me is a very mysterious subject. hehe
Keep posting man, and I'll keep checking.
Hola, really liked your general attitude and style, your monochromatic is fantastic, clean, good defined hatching with dynamism, as well as your creature design and concept design , moody and sinister, nice, keep it up!
nice sketchbook dude, I started from the first page and I must say you worked a lot and the progress is evident, gj man

Love your work OmertA, sorry for not reciprocating and stopping by earlier.
Anyway, first pic in last update - one on the left neat, scrap the other 2
And lovely greyscale figures. I've gotta try that soon. I've mostly done them in sketchbooks. Time for an (Obama like) CHANGE!!
"Never regret thy fall from grace, O' spirit of Icarian flight, for the greatest tragedy of them all to face, is to never feel the burning bright"
Believe my lies, for I tell the truth about them. Or would you rather me lie about telling the truth?

what program do you use to draw in on the computer and what brush are you using?

Art so far SketchBook
yep these look great. Also the character have nice design.Needs more definement but as a thumbnail is great.
Keep up jamie you are doing great!!!
Rabbi Satan-thanks alot you have some pretty sick work going on in your sketchbook aswell. The figure studies were fun, E.M gists and Railey H have some really amazing figure drawings. They do them so quick to, takes me forever to get the proportion and anatomy down. I might go back to those characters kinda got bored of them
bagtaggar-Thanks dude, gona have to keep these figure studies up ill be looking out for your badass updates man!
Benjie-yeah tottally agree with you i gotta stop using the soft brushes and man up to rendering out with the harder brushes. Pretty much were i fail at i get lazy on the shadows and just go over them with a soft brush to get the value right but looks way cheezy. Thanks for continues feedback Benjie
Kungfoowiz-sup, yeah some of the arms in the studies were kinda funky not really sure why they were like that probly becuse they were just quick studies they did and didnt flesh out the arms as much.
Mr.Thorne-im using photoshop CS3 been experimenting and using so many brushes but latley its just been stock photoshop brushes and like a chalk brush i found in the photoshop thread. Also there all set to Pen Pressure hope that helps
kingkostas-Thanks bro youve been killing it in your sketchbook man soo much progression in there, Might go back to those characters if they still look kinda interesting to me

Hm, nice figures you have going on here! these http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...7&d=1265687713 look pretty cool! Something about the portrait in your latest post bothers me, I think it's the lip/ nose area. But besides that, it's awesome..
Also, I have to ask, because of your signature/ handstyle.... Are you/ were you a graffiti artist too? €dit: Just saw some on the earlier pages of your sketchbook, pretty nice style dude!

Thanks for stopping by my Sketchbook your work is pretty impressive - especially your dedication /eagerness - havent seen everything yet (first and last couple pages ) but i really like your abstract landscapes
and your graffiti / urban style - i'd really love to see more of them
your latest posts pretty neat too especially the Portrait / Studies / Zombielandquikie - btw are you using Corel for these studies ?
feel free to drop in my sketchbook again - every kind of critique appreciated
arestocrat-sup dude yeah those figure studies were fun check out the fine arts thread thats were i found Railey H and E.M gist. gona have to practice more portraits pretty terrible at drawing faces. But yeah used to be pretty into graffiti but then found CA haha thanks for dropping by
Pixie Trick-thank you your right it is time to get the life studies dialed, mine still dont even look realistic at all
Morten-thanks alot dude, yeah im still not pleased with the style i have i want to get into a style thats fresh or something, some people have told me not to worry about style now and just study and style will come later.
No corel painter though used to use it till my month trial ran out
will keep an eye out for your updates man
Krato-haha not a pointless crit at all i need more crits like that but yeah her leg is pretty weird but thats how Railey H drew it probly due to time constraints.
~cheezy recreation of the necromancer form D2
~alittle more on my Gerome study
~quick portrait of bill the butcher from gangs of new york
nice rendering elements in the last one(gangs).I think you should approach your friends portrait on that way. With those full of "paint" strokes. And its also "Crisp" not that smooth here and there so it avoids beign blurred
I like the study so far.
The Diablo character is looking fine, and your rendering is superb, however.. and you probably know this, you should spend some of your time on a few head studies, boring yes, but one a day can't hurt, even if it's just a thumb of one, I think that would help. Lovely colours, you seem to have a good idea on how to make it look nice.
Good to see you working that much. I think Kung pointed out the right thing, heads. The ones on the D2 work are kinda off, and I don't know about the butcher but his nose is really long. Usually the length from chin to nose=nose to eye brows. Nevertheless I really like the way you rendered it
Have a good one^^
kingkostas-thanks man, yeah was just messing around experimenting i personally think it looks terrible not even sure why i posted it haha.
still trying to find and learn the inbetween of crisp brush stokes and the soft ones.
Kungfoowiz-Thanks dude, yeah your tottally right im really bad at painting drawing anything with faces and heads. Gona get on the roll with some studies, Railey H has some pretty sick portrait studies will probly dive into those tommorow
Benjie-haha thanks Benjie! to me that portraits sooo weak lol not sure why i even posted it i looked back and was like ehhh.Thats pretty much how all my work is to me ill like it one day then the next day i look back on it and see so much stuff wrong with it.
Wanna-fersher will try and fix that but your right gotta work on faces and stuff thanks for droppin by my sketchbook will have to check out yours
~went back on the last portrait, I suck at portraits! gona have to do a ton of studies cause there killin me. looking back on it now i went to dark in my values the photo i was studying was terrible
~the battle feild is almost ready with my Gerome study, his colors he uses really trip me out so hard to get right, its fun though
~and some more of my still life i seem to have alot of trouble with painting and getting the right color for the back shadows, also doesnt even look like it sits on the cloth right always mess that up

The right side of the portrait doesn't seem to look correct in relation to the left, might want to flip the canvas and look closer at the ref. But the left sides looking good especially the eye.
Also are you asian too loll?
