12 | #17 || a great gesture, alluring and evocative in the figure, with this gait that beckons the viewer to question the motives of this savage woman, absolutely a great sketch. Very visceral and this aspect of kinked seduction and tweaked grim atmostsphere that you have illustrated here. There seems to be a very distinct drawl to your strokes that speak to me volumes, most notably the line work in the figure's legs (mind you, those legs are actually quite well. Dont beat yourself up on particulars). Those tattoos, thematically, bring about even more questions about her character and lead me to conclude that you should consider perhaps placing her within a scene or thematic panel, to justify her apperence and her character.
Absolutely a faboulous sketch with plenty of potential evident that your skills shine in every line. I will be gratitious and return the favor and subscribe to your sb for further advances in your work.
Option 1: Definitely
Your dedication is great. Keep working hard.
your figures are really dramatic, it's really interesting to look at
Woah thats a lot of red, looks well drawn; the crazyness hurts my eyes a little though
Check out my sketchbook.
just dropped by to say " Keep on doing what you're doing!"
and I am peasantly surprised that you have been doing just that!
love the 'gay asian trio" btw! made me laugh.
I SWEAR ON THE GRAVES OF ALL THE TALENTED FILIPINO ARTISTS WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE ME, THE FILIPINO ART LEGACY WILL CONTINUE!

my workload...weighing me down... x_x
i can almost taste my own toes it's so heavy D:
a 15 minute life painting on my COLOR/VALUE BLIND LAPTOP.
and a ~30 minute pencil sketch.
wip of fanart.
happy fucktober guise. <3
Darn! I really like the amount of energy in your drawings. I don't know, that makes me sound all hippie-like, but I feel like your sketches just pop out, y'know? Not to mention, you've also got some pretty decent figure studies going on. The only thing that I'd say you'd need to work on is probably your blending on your paintings? Even for sketch, I think it's a bit rugged? I dunno.
Anyway, overall, nice stuff~
what beautiful weather we're having around my home.
i've had the urge to draw on newsprint. i just
i just love it.
it also might be because i have no sketchbooks to draw in anymore.
need to get a new one.
or the one i sent to art center back.
speaking of which.
black cluster of sketches in the bad photo are from friday at school.
red and black are from after class.
the during class ones are incredibly pitiful.
it's like my drawing ability is chopped in half when i'm in class.
i don't wanna draw with morgan anymore. ;_;
adlskdfgod i suck akds;flk
this looked better in real life. but DAMMIT I PAYED MONEY TO GET THIS FROM MY CELL TO THE COMP SO IT'S GOING UP.
i have a horrible cold. x_x
gotta fight the need to rest and draw
[though if anyone knows rest is the one thing i NEED it's me. >_>]
Remember what news print is for. Its designed for quick studies and doesnt communicate with wet mediums or markers. You cant really beat it up like you can bfk reaves acrhes or bristol its cheap for a reason. Keep working hard though its paying off. I would strongly suggest gettin a mechanical pencil with a nice set of HB leads and just going crazy with my lines.
there's something about how the newsprint puckers when the ink dries on it that I just love.
I do understand what you mean about newsprint made for quick studies. It's got me hooked on drawing large with dry chalky media. I'm growing to actually like it. o_o
Mechanical Pencil? Yessir. Rightawaysir.
niku: uhh thanks
today was an okay day.
i wish i could have a figure drawing class for 9 hours. every day. D:<
i'll probably make fewer proportion mistakes if i did.
I like the seated pose the most. even if i blow chunks at foreshortening and proportion. ._.
OH BY THE WAY I GOT MY NEW SKETCHBOOK YAY
i think this book will be the one i'll send to art center YAAAY OH GOD THE STRESS
Hey A la Bapsi, I see your hitting the figures and poses a hard time hey? Really good and exciting excersizes I must see, maybe you should draw more detailed skeletons when you get used to the forms.
Hey bapsi there is no question about that you r improving from seeing all this studies and gestures
Man i wish i have your motivation and commitment
anyhoo keep it up
Good work on the silhouettes. Some of them are very dynamic.
I'll just mention that the girl's neck in your last submitted piece seems a little unnaturally thin.
Keep it up, you're doing great
some of the good, the bad, as well as the ugly in these two sketchbook pages.
that bordered french flag chick has a pretty amusing thought process to it. O:
Time for a finished piece rush.
I have to stop scribbling and finish something.
Hey, mate! =D
Wow, I'm really digging how you incorporate colours in your sketches!
It's like the breath of life, it really makes them vivid =)
Keep up the great work! I guess I'll have to start working as hard as you're doing if I want to get anywhere! ^^
