Kuuuuzzzcooooo! keep it up. really push the emotions go crazy.
You have so many gorgeous studies! Keep up the wonderful work!
basics and more basics, in chronological order
i try to devote at least 15min a day doing viscom exercises [ideally, at least an hour, but coursework comes first]
i omitted the days where i couldn't find the scratch paper i practiced my lines on, but this is pretty much what happens.
hopefully there will be a jump in quality and confidence a month or two from now [or. well. some actual goddamn objects drawn instead of just stupid boxes]
man my verticals suck
and to counter your imaginative sketching post, here's some of my struggling.
thank god for Will Weston. i feel so liberated..even though I feel like I was just shoved back to square one with drawing. or rather, i was made to realize i was always at square one, and sidestepping all of these years instead of moving forward as i should.
if anyone's in the LA area, learn with him! he teaches at the animation guild too, and teaches well.
also sorry guise. i'll dig for my scanner next time D: this camera is so friggin ghetto.

Good job on the leopard character, dig it!
Congrats on meeting Terryl Whitlatch...LUCKY..
this week we did a bit of figure composing in my inventive drawing class. i left most of my shit in my locker at school but i got a pic of one of the pages we did.
what will would do is give the model a theme. in this case, a woman reading a magazine, with other women reading on, and the model would hold short poses as all of the figures for that theme. we spend that time placing and drawing the figure to make a comp that leads the eye and tells the story well. O:
around the end of the series of poses, he invited us to change the pose the model took for the benefit of the compo. I did that for two of the figures in this one i think. though i bet you guys could tell already haha
ye i'll take pics of the others when i'm back at school. it looks like my ghetto cell phone camera handles drawings a lot better in classroom lighting so yeah.
i guess i just had to update today to make up for the spam/lack of updates.
Great composition in that last drawing, I'd love to see it painted. It's got good relationships between the people in it. Good work!
