jsn: Thanks mate, my moobs always attract attention.
_Quasar_:Thank you, I thinking I am starting to build a library in my head for skin tones, at least I hope i am.
Elophant: Cheers, will do!
Playing with ideas for her helm..
Happy with this so far, going to try and find some references or make my own and finish it..., Still at rough blocking in and idea stage here obviously but bonus points if you can guess who this is.
Critiques welcome allthough might be hard as there is alot missing, even so tear it apart if you think something is utter crap let me know I wont be offended.
nice figure drawing and interesting rendering
Yo, for post #434 the wings look like they're missing the humerus, and the back feathers look a bit too vertical (maybe make them look more at an angle?). I couldn't find a good ref photo for the front view of similarly posed wings, but you can see on this one that the wings are sorta angled: http://www.hobotraveler.com/photos/e...-fly_photo.jpg
Also, when I was looking for "bird flexing", google images returned this as a result http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/...08_306x287.jpg haha
Hey man nice sketchbook Keep it up, I'm also from Perth and was looking for life drawing sessions do uw have a website or something where I can find out more info like when the sessions are and how much? cheers.
jcc: Thanks jcc, yea you make a good point, I always struggle with wings afterlooking into it thr pose I am looking for to fit the composition just isnt possible so I think i might have to fudge. Hah! nice find I would'nt mess with that bird.
Stuey: Thanks, sure checkout : http://lifedrawinginperth.wordpress.com/monday/, If you droo by be sure say hello.
enthombed: Cheers I hope too as well it seems I am very good at just giving up and moving to another piece and I understand why now its dam hard work committing and finishing something, So after this weekend I am going to be setting myself a goal of 1 illustration every 2 weeks (good or bad as long as i put my all into them and take them as far as i can) and see how that goes.
This studies are looking good keep at them.
You should watch out for the proportions on the last piece, the eyes look very small.
Also what i can suggest is posting your picture on a smaller size so people can view it better because as this it doesn't fit my hd monitor
But good stuff
