Flurry: Shall try, thanks. Enviroment is something i have to do even more
Face study as little modified and posemaniacs for the day

Really enjoyed the enviros in post #167 - good stuff. Your pose studies are also pretty admirable. Some of your figures read a bit flat, however - I think it's because many of the small/subtle change in plane is a bit oversimplified - if that makes sense?
Overall great work
wow, great progress here dude! my favorite is the ants pic...AWESOME, haha. nothin much to say now. have you ever tried painting an egg? sure it would be interesting. take care!
Sinneart: i know exactly what you mean, in depth anatomy is my weakness and pose balance dynamism so that is on the list of training, thanks
purb36: interesting idea, maybe. i should do live painting practise soon anyways
Todays posemaniacs and todays superbatman cartoon. I don't say anything about it, wrestled with myself should i post it or not but decided that maybe some twisted soul will find solace trought it, right right.
(decided to take it down, link later for photobucket for those who really want so see it )

Really like your use of colour in your paintings and you have some very nice line drawings too.

Like those thumbnails poses and the x-bird. Now to get off my ass and post something myself ...
Clochette: thanks, i think i might be going into the direction where i want to go.. have to look more into these
Walnut: thanks, but looking the latest talk about moving one's ass..
Dierat: agree with the back , thanks for the critique!
Birdpainting and challenge (I had hell of the week, next time in time! surely...), i had no scanner so these are all i have... better next time, eh
hey Nettle! you were not quite happy with the topic eh? or you really had a crazy week!!!!
anyway, I like em, but would be better if you actually rendered them…because that was my Idea with this challenge…pencil or not doesn't really matter…but…rendering……enough ass kicking…
I liked that smoking ant a lot!! and all your birdies!!
keep em coming
Rendered or not, i like the sketches you did. That ant-man in particular's pretty smoking (Get it? Smoking? Wink wink nudge nudge). Th robot has some anatomy problems i think, the face features don't seem to line up and his torso looks flat. I'm a little meh about your latest bird. You handled the brushstrokes better in the last one. Well, up to the next challenge then? You're in right?
I like the ant critter, it's dynamic, its shapes are contrasting each other so it looks interesting (round rear body vs skinny legs). and these shapes are placed so that they remain in balance, which is important in design...it also gives the viewer something to think of (its posture and the cigarette in its hand tell something about its personality which makes the concept even more interesting). the other blue drawings aren't as effective, I believe this is because their techical side could be improved (silhouette, anatomy, shapes, constancy) as well as the more emotional side, which include posture, expression, position of hands...anything that lets us take a look in the Soul of the drawing rather that the picture just being a technical demonstration.
I'm not sure if I'm even using 50% of this ramble in my own work so I might just be talking to myself here...but anyways, keep it up, this SB looks promising!
Bigfootrooper:thanks, i had crazy week and no scanner & decided by last possible moment to spank up ome digital pencil... The challenge was just fine
--walnut:Thanks, i think that ant is one of the better direction ones. About painting.. yes i see what you mean, i quess i have to learn to control my brushstrokes where it really matters in painting, like areas i like viewer to take notice. thanks for the honest critique, got me thinking about what i want to see in my paintings and what not. Im a big fan of ashley woods & prometheus ANJ and few others who has a bit painterly & messy style so im looking myself in that direction and sometimes can take it too far.
--ruuhkis:Agree completely with your ramble, it is hard to think about those subtle differences when just sketching without thinking but i like the way you see small posture differences can make something work, i quess it is true for most points. Thanks!

Goodness! From page 1 to page 7, I saw a sort of transformation of skills. You're really getting good! And your art is fun and pleasant to look at. Definitely keep this up!
"Looking for critiques! Any help is appreciated."
Thanks for checking out my sketchbook. Your wall of gestures is awesome. What a great way to train that tablet-hand!
The skull's neat, but you can push the rendering a little and those grooves along its surface confuse me, the break up the picture so. Did you do those creature sketches btw?
Skytheartist: thanks,i hope that transformation went into the positive direction...
baltar:Yeah, posemaniacs are nice in many ways
Bigfootrooper: Thanks man, im allright now, had rought times lately
Walnut: Um, you mean surface of the skull? those grooves were kind of point of the skull, make it different than your generic skull, something crazy. I admit that those lines doesn't really follow the form as good as they should and there is many things i would add into the painting but i did run out of steam that day... You think its worth it to work little more with that one?
Clochette: Woohoo! finally someone noticed i have no life beside drawing. Well, almost... im in exchange at holland so i try to use much of the free time in here in productively before i go back to finland, thanks!
Quess what, i missed the deadline again... sorry im lost case. Anyway here are 2 creatures, 2 is a bunch, like crowd, like almost 5, right? (and one modified female study painting from photo: Thanks for the Locus for image!)
he is grumpy because he finds himself in bad sketch

Coming along sweet!
Hey I hope you enjoy yourself in our little country.
My sketchbook contains cartoon studies and Pokémon.

Great improvement going on from what I can see too, keep churning!
A lot of your attachments are in the "Pending approval" void though.

I'll count the crab in the text balloon as a creature too, so you're off the hook. The shark thing looks cool though, even if he has very uncertain limbs. And i have to say i love the naked lady. Joints are a bit spotty, but she's got great values.
Kidult: Thanks, your sketcbook didn't look bad also... come again soon
Jasoerflick: I must admit im having fun...
sorknes: Did something about that void, should be better now, thanks
Walnut: Hehe, nice that someone did notice...You are right about those legs, had hard time with them and woot, i didn't notice those elbows myself, bit stick like right now...
Valid D: Thanks, i liked yours as well and that carb was really quickie but i could maybe use lightning like that somewhere
Speedies dump, i have to really start making serious anatomy practises like pages full of characters from reference and without reference, noticed that drawing humans is still my weakness... but thats tomorrow work, right
God that is ugly...
