absolutely love your work! i recently did a project for my course with work kind of simular to yours. mainly white and grey toned odd figures. if you check out my sketchbook i'll post that work up.
meanwhile back to you! i put your page straight onto my favorites. hope to see more its a wicked idea. some of the pieces kick straight out from the page. love the black figure creeping out and the way you present the whole story. you can get a sense of how they are moving and acting!.
hope to see more!
take it easy
That storyboard had me gripped, I really loved that style nice and simple but really affective. Loved the whole "Black Milk" thing, I'd like to know more about it, can't wait for more.
Ha, I was about to tell me friend to look at your stuff though he'd like it, seems he found it himself (Hey Ham )
-Hero Of Zero-
elsewhere: Thanks for the excitement. The answer would be a pretty long one. It is to me very existential and more of an art film. I don't wish to line up all of my inspirations and ideas behind this film. As for now I leave that up to you guys...
ohomoho Every story has at least the ability to fire off a new story in your mind.
loganam Thanks. Yes, the wall Thank you and I hope you will stick around for more!
DoctorPencil thank you. As it might didn't come out that clear, this is concept art/mood board for a short film which is being produced right now. We are still a bit in a pre-production state as we are working on technical test shots. I've been doing a lot of story revisions since the first posts as well.
malpanka Thank you. Stick around for more as this is really taking shape.
HunterKiller_ Right now I am holding the cards a bit to myself. What do you get from the story?
`ej Thank you. I must have done around 100 poses by now These are most of the sketches. I got some sketches that are over two years old but they aren't that interesting and complete. Hope you understand
The Ham I didn't see the pics you mentioned. Thank you very much. Glad you find my characters communicative and interesting. Looking forward to discuss the choreography with the actors!
voraz thank you. Hope to see you in the later posts
OneLongWord Thank you! Invite more friends as the whole process will be pretty well covered in this thread
RandAlThor More coming up
I'm totally hooked already,
your artwork and story-telling is amazing.
The short film project I’ve been working on (Black Milk) was given money for production developement by Filmkraft Rogaland. The funds are very helpful since the film is technically challenging to execute. It requires a lot of technical tests and laborating. Luckily there is a lot of very experienced and talented people involved.
A big thank to Filmkraft Rogaland for finding our project interesting! We have achieved a lot already. Below is a shot from one of the makeup sessions.
I have been privileged as production designer to work together with 3 makeup artists experimenting to achieve this 'look' of the characters. So far I am very happy with the progression.

This stuff is so simple yet so unique and fascinating. I like how the sand pours out of the skull as it's lifted from the ground. Looking at these pictures, it's like watching a film, and as I understand it's going to become one as well. Congratulations man. And good luck.
Hey nice you are back i told we lost you forever. I am very happy about you and your success .
Will be keeping an eye out for the new stuff.
coelakanth: thanks alot. Come back for more
yinteck: thank you. It has been interesting to really experiment with this world with no colors and shadow.. I find it a challenge to actually draw the things visible
Christoffer: thank you. The sand scene is quite a special one which will have a nice effect. Im actually having a skull replica on my desk right now looking at me
ohomoho: its cool to have you around I see youve been busy with sketching on your thread as well. Nice shadow on that tea-cup now
reject-d: thank you very much!
andyhunt: thanks! a subscription would be less complicated than a marriage I believe. I have issues with online relationships
Max Martelli: hehe thanks. You're always welcome back for refill
Last week we did some technical testing for the short film project black milk. The crew was great. Even though this was mainly a test for lights and greenscreen we really got some nice and gross pictures! A couple of photos from the set taken by me:
More to come. I got some delicious still frames from the shoot

Looks amazing. We can see this short video online when its out right?
The actor looks creapy.
looking great! do share with us more of what you learn from this production! great thread!
Argh i love that your work is fleshing out in real life! exciting stuff even from just standing here!
i recently worked for a director and its one of the best thing i know seeing the scenes you've brainstormed and sketched being acted out!
argh keep it up.
thanks for your feedback on my stuff. must say you've got double the excitement over here though!
i posted up the work i previously said was simular to some of your stuff. check it when you get chance.

You Have Entered
The Bone Zone
Five (5) Bones
dished: thank you. I left you a comment in your SB as well. (I do my best to give constructive feedback to everyone who comments my thread )
ohomoho: well, depends a bit on how the production company is willing to distribute it. Teasers and trailers will atleast be available. The film will mostly be shown on festivals. But I will try to make sure that it will be available on DVD, because we are recording A LOT of extra material, concept art, photos - it won't be something very costy though Thanks for the follow-up and support so far.
the ham: I commented your newly uploaded stuff Yes, it is very exciting and I can only do my best to keep up with the paste. I've been more busy with the polishing the story lately and haven't had the opportunity to draw much new. This is still an early stage, but i think this process is fun and very valuable to me.
mentler: thank you for that crazy comment and thanks for the bones (stars). Typically my thread was rated much further down seconds later because it was shown as a five starred...
NEWS on black milk so far: I am discussing casting and the director is having meetings with specialist in the CG-business for 3d-environments and- or matte-painting.
Hang on for updates
pantless_wanderer: Thank you. Yes, it is very awesome
jedininjaman: thanks for the interest. The story has had a few iterations since I posted the sketches. The concept and overall story value is mostly the same. As far as the sketches went it was sort of closing to the end
BLACK MILK UPDATE: Not many new drawings. Worked a bit with the test shots we did. Experimented with inserting matte-painted backgrounds and such things. Right now I am discussing casting
And now to something completely different. I am sketching on a new pic.
Working with only B/W the last months really got frustrating. It feels great to use to power of colours again. woo!
uploaded palette sketch, "photo sketch", further sketch and "current state" in the WIP.
hope you like, feedback is welcome
really am diggin your work man, very expressive, very nice story telling.
so many things right about it all
wow really cool temperature stuff going on there !
