That's what I'm here for, making people feel crappy Nah, just kidding. But this is just too much fun.
Pixel! You're rockin' my world
398 had some awesome characters in it fo' sure!
Very nice sketches!
I felt I could do more with the face on the central character on last post. So I did. :p Some colour and bla.
You've have some pretty cool stuff in here. I really liked the cobra commander sketch! Corbra always had to best stuff. I'm not a terrorist or anything, but when I was little I always wanted Cobra to win.
I definitely fell in love with your girls
Your windwaker piece looks already quiete good, even though there is some composition issue.
The chest gets cut off by the left border. Try to make your canvas a little bit bigger so the chest isn't cut off.
If you want the chest also to be on the same perspective as your characters, then the view is too far from above.
Hope you understand what I tried to tell you and it helps at least a little bit x_x
Pretty nice sketchbook. I like the variety of the environments, and the occasional robots in the last few pages. The few creatures I really like too. I'd say you need to find a nice mixture between how you paint environments and how you paint characters. Your enviros have pretty good variety and are always pretty angular, but they have a heavy reliance on custom brushes and textures rather than actual painting. Then your characters appear to be 98% painted, with simple brushes, but they have all the same general body type, exact same face, straight-on view, and are almost exclusively made out of rounded shapes.
I Love this guy: http://attachments.conceptart.org/fo...1&d=1326120502
You really got it right there, though the texture is a tiiiiny bit too much for my taste.
So, it would be cool to see, say, a figure, in extreme perspective, made out of all triangles and rectangles. Or, a rather static landscape, from a normal human perspective, but drawn with all soft, rounded shapes. Just to see what you can make of such things. (or just do a nice combination, like the little dragon guy )
Silwynar: Thx, I don't necessarily want the chest on the same plane as the characters, but I know what you mean composition-wise. There's still some shuffeling to do
Mr. Corlan: I know what you mean, that's why a: I've been doing all those gesture things for the last 2 pages to get more variety in dynamics and b: the last couple of characters before those gestures I've been doing more lasso-tooling to get more hard edges and shapes on them.
Great stuff, gj!
