Wow, Great work.
I'm almost curious to find out how I pronounce your name, Micaiah. Thanx for the comment!
Serpian, I like to play around with various decorative shapes. Thanx!
Gustavo, thank you kindly-
Love the bird, lizard and frog.
The bottom one is impressive, but because it looks so much like a filtered photo (take that as a compliment), I'm not really digging it.
The image IMO needs to have some rougher, looser areas (like the 3 I mentioned) because that is what is makes your work appealling. The high skill level and the 'hand made' traditional quality - Hope you understand what I'm getting at.
my sketches here... http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=92997
www.sevans.co.nz , visit them or a puppy dies!
really good dude. nice to see what u have been up to! -c36

Nice, but i think that the iguana and the frog are too similar.
Maybe you should add another illustration between
hey Dave, really cool work man, fresh and juicy
I like the last one the most...has some intense emotions in it when you look for a long time
Thanx Brendan! The cat finally meets the love of his life!!
Sevans, you have a very good point there sir. I've been telling my artist friends how I'm trying to avoid doing anything too realistic thesedays.
Thanx for the thought!!
El Coro, thanx bud. How have you been?
Liquor, thank you kind
Yes, it's not the greatest presentation I agree spookybabydoll.
Are you in a band by any chance? That's a good name for a rock band!
Chupacabra, it's been a long time- How are you doing these days?
Thank you always for the support!!
What's happenin' Mathias- God, it snows so hard here in Denver.
Thanx a lot man. She was the model for my children book-
She is such a sweetheart.
Simply amazing! Is the lizard and the frog in watercolour too? I´m using such myself now and loving it, hoping to get as good as you and some other here at CA some day.
Thanks a bunch for sharing! :]
Hey Lelle, thanx a bunch.
I remember struggling so hard adapting watercolour from my acrylics and oil background, but it has truned out rather successfully.
So much to learn, we are in this together! Practice Practice Practice!!
Someone gave me this custom title and I will never, ever change it!
dude fuckin awesome man; that last one is nice it looks like and remind me of my sister alot. She wear glasses like that too and sometime smile like that.
Whoa, I love the animals but that last picture is just incredible.
bluefooted, thank you kindly
Oni Rem, your sister must be adorable. Her name is Grace and
she is the sweetest little girl. I just had to paint her, really. Thanx!
chocolatejunkie, thanx for the big cheers!
All these were editorial spots, except the frog piece, done for rather
smaller publishing companies. However, currently I'm working on my children's book (while working for a game company as a concept artist..busybusy) and it should be out by coming spring
Light, thanx a bunch! More coming!!
The frog is good. don't know why but i like your frogs (maybe coz i'm a froggy). just for answering, i'm not in a band, i just choose this one because it sound good.
I was thinking the same thing. My son and I are both frog junkies and those frog illustrations really stand out.
I so want a print of the first one!
I should do more frogs really. I can see that we have some frog fans out there~ Spookybabydoll, Fourth nail, thank you both of you.
After years of pursuing traditional medium,
I've finally decided to jump into the world of digital painting.
At the moment, as a new comer, I'm enjoying painter a lot more than photoshop. We'll see how things go-

As you learn more sophisticated techniques, you may switch to Photoshop, as it is far smarter than Painter will likely ever be, but as a traditional artist, you may always enjoy using what you're comfortable with, your mind, a canvas, and a series of brushes / chalks / smudgers /etc. to which Painter is far more accustomed. However, though it is a more complex method, photoshop possesses a large array of tools that can help you recreate those same brushes in an environment with less bugs and more power.
Fine works! I'm really digging this stuff!
Man, your style is amazing,i just love the watercolor and cross-hatching, i wish i could use your style, in one of my art classes, i never really got use to watercolor, if could pls, show me how you do it, i kinda want to try something new, a mix of your style and my style. Again you are amazing, your concepts are so sharp and colorful, I love everthing.
Look, Iam diet drama, want to spend tha night dont bring pajamas, man there's so much heat beneath clothes, you see me !
JesArt Sketchbook, go have a gander..
Pronounce, Ma-Ki-Ya. Your stuff is awsome.
Those animal images in the first post are gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. The rich colors and textures, the decorative spirals and criss-cross lines, the little glints of light here and there, it's all beautiful. The cicada and the beetle (is it a June beetle, by chance? Or just some random beetle?) are my favorites.
Your painter images are looking okay. It's obvious that you're having fun with the images and experimenting with the different brushes, and I really like the impasto effects you used in the second image; it gives the image a nice molten feel. However, your Painter paintings are very flat. You need to work at transplanting your sensitivity to light and texture over to this new medium.
Overall, great, inspiring, original work.
Both great traditional and digital media illustrations. It gives me the inspiration to go on experimenting with water coloring. Digital's are still very lively, most of the time, at least for my self I see artists stepping from traditional to digital media having a hard time to bring up the livelyness from there traditional works.
I'm eager to see more of your work here soon.
Blue Disciple, you are probably right. After just a few weeks, I'm already finding photoshop a lot more easier and effective to use than painter.
Since I'm moving from the traditional background, I think i'm just naturally attracted to painter with diverse brushes
Long time, JesArt. How have you been?
Yeah-so I've decided to go digital. It's not like I was forced to do it now that I'm working for a game company, but it just became natural I guess.
Thank you so much for your kind comment on my style!
I'm sure you don't need my style to upgrade yours! You are probably rocking already!
Micaiah Nelson, took me sometime to understand what you said lol.
Thank you kindly
Moai, thank you! Yes I'm in that funny phase where I feel like Stiffler opening
his eyes for the world of ladies for the first time- I'm definitely experimenting a lot thesedays. However, you've made a very good comment about the depth of my digital paintings and that is something that I should improve on more than anything now!!
Whitevillage, I'm too very excited to see what i'm going to keep and how I'm going to change thru this digital phase of my life! Thank you! More coming!!
