Hey man, been a while since I checked up on you! Looks like you're as busy and productive as always
Really nice sketches in post #183, many fun characters around. And ooh, Aang is there, yay! The enviro speedies are looking mighty nice too, good values and colours. I think the brushwork is sometimes a bit too messy, though, maybe it's just the brush you're using there but it makes the piece feel sort of rushed and blurry. But hey, they're still awesome! Keep doing this!
As for your latest WIP, it's looking really good. Like the atmosphere and perspective. Although I feel a few lines are wee skewed, like the corner line the main guy is leaning against, and the window contours. The guy's right shoulder (his left) seems quite bigger than the other one, although that could just be the massive armour. Looking forward to see this finished!
Keep on drawing!
ur getting better by the minute, ermn...hour? post. well, something, i guess what im trying to say is ur getting better, and thats a good thing, i really like ur pencils, keep up the good work.
omg, i totally like the action that comes off ur speedies! they really rock! keep on bashing!!!
Nice work with keeping the energy up in these
Also the enviro's are nice
In the lasers piece the main guys waist is to low or his arms are to short but either way you should look at it also some anatomy practice in general would help you
Im a teenager also so you should stop by sometime
Lotet-lol, thanks man
remmy-thanks man, but it really doesnt feel like it compared to some awsum artists on this site
Murido-thanks man, means alot
jedininjaman-man, im slacking off in everything lol especially anatomy! and thanks for the crit on the guy i knew there was something wrong, just needed a fresh pair of eyes on him. thanks!
smurl.info-thanks! im not trying to go with a sketchy feel, i just press hard on my pencil especially the construction lines! i guess ill try not to or get a softer pencil?
Hey guys, I'm not motivated at all. AAARRGGHHH! I gotta pull my head in ae. Most of the time I'm looking at other artists work and just in complete awe (this lasts around 3 hours) and after I'm exhausted! Recently I've been continuing one of my recent sketches into a big project, I'm still re-drawing it and trying to get all proportions right, so we'll see how that goes. I'm also still waiting on my own computer, the one i have now keeps crashin with photoshop and i have to balance the keyboard on my legs......gets frustrating after a while lol.
Enough rambling, here's some mental man scribble...
Sweet, new post . Your faces are getting more structural, good to see. I can't wait for you to do a really detailed piece. In fact I request it, I want to see what you can do If you take your time and keep at it for a couple of days or... even weeks . You don't have to though... I just though it would be cool.
Love the newest update! You've obviously done a lot of studies and it shows. The ground treatment is very nice. My one crit would be while the lighting is nicely apparent on almost everything else in the picture, the character seems to remain unaffected by it. All it needs may be a couple brighter spots, as well as hints of blue green in the lit area (not the shadows!). The edge of the highlight on the metal cylinder could use a little green too.
Very nice improvement! Keep this up and you'll be great in no time.
Nightblue- Thankyou! Ive been wondering why it wasnt looking right, thanks for the good pair of eyes
Here some more stuff, one of em is for an animation script and the other is me...... Look at the first page of my sketchbook for my first self portrait, im starting to make some progress...
I've been working hard, trying to fit in work and my art at the same time as well a little 3D so I can get a head start for the semester coming up. It's hard trying to juggle all of this. I don't know if I should go to work tomorrow, or stay home and practice...., its so confusing
The girl with the two guns was the hardest I've worked for any of my pieces. I've also made a 2 part tutorial which is here: Tutorial
I'm starting to sketch after looking through sketcheth's sketchbook. So much talented stuff
try not to mix black with your shadows man, try using a dull grey with some hues instead
character sketches looking nice, just watch out for perspective issues (the weapons) and try to make your rendering with the lines. eg: the top of the girl looks kinda flat atm.
keep it up man!
EDIT: I see you updated while I was posting, really great improvement in this update man! the spartan troll looks really sweet, and the values on the big demon dude is verrry good! lastly the girl looks MUCH better, i still think the uzi looks a bit off in terms of perspective but the values and skin tones look really nice (the shadows look a lot better now with your colour work) keep pushing it!
hard work here
keep it up
that spartan giant looks so cool
paperX- thanks man Yea, ive only recently figured out not to use a solid black. Just one question, you said rendering with the lines, what exactly do you mean?
hunchbackmagee-thankyou so much!
I said I was getting back into pencils, so here's what I cooked up over the weekend. Pretty crappy stuff, but that just proves I need to study alot more! Some faces, head, and posemaniacs studies. The last is a selfportrait colour study which I paid no attention to proportion....now im regretting it
Heh my favorite is clearly the tattoo girl. And I should probably try some eyes too. Keep it up and thanks for visiting!
AHAH! I found you boi! Saw you on here mate, thought I'd drop by and give some love to your sketchbook
