TheGnoll: To quite JD of Scrubs: Not gonna happeeeeeen, not gonna happeeen^^
SaintFuse: Thanks, I will, and you are welcome
triggersamy: Awesome update man!
good stuff! cruising through your stuff was nice and i can see your progression. The one thing i noticed to be consistent is your darks get really dark. So when you start dealing with your colour sometimes it punches holes in your compositions/paintings. I try to never use 100% black or white those are for special moments. Good work keep it up!
Incredible stuff man !
Just found your SB, haven't had time yet to look at the whole thing, but I'm already very impressed by your work - as an old Warhammer-fan, I basically have to give you even more credit, your scenes/motives rock !
Well, you just got yourself another fan, keep up the good work !
looking good man!
the last one is great but personally I find it a bit too dark/black.
A lot of silhouettes are lost.
Keep on rockin'!

MY EXCLUSIVE SKETCHBOOK
VIKING: BATTLE FOR ASGARD
THE OTHER BROTHERS
Better today, but as I had after school french class I didn't get more done than this, but whatte hell. Managed to convince my teachers that letting me do digi still lifes next week was a nice way to promote the schools open nature thowards new possibilities Who da man? I da man At least for once^^
Reject-D: O shuddup, you can, you just have to do more!
midknight523: Thanks so much amigo
J.Mac: I usually make a point of not going all black, but I probably go a little to close. In the newest one, all the things that show up as black will be covered, worry not.
Alabaster: Thanks man, Warhammer is awesome
hurricane: Wow, the highborn Hurri I am honored. I guess you are right. Will pay even more attention to it in the future.
nice updates man, the latest painting looks sick. i love the rim lighting you used on the characters and the colors as usual are very nicely done. keep up the good work.
To live is to create, to create is to live. Without art and music, I do not know how I would get by in my day to day life.
Wow i like especialy the colors used in your last painting, the green of the hairs are very cool.
Last one is great, also the pencils are coming along nice!
As for the color palette on the last one. I think it could use another light source, for example an orange light shining from the left corner into the scene. Imo it would spice up the illustration even more.
Areit I am finally done with this one. I have to do the border at some point, but that will be done later. I also lost my sketchbook, before I got it scanned, so I have nothing tangible to show for it, but I will just have to draw up some more crap for you to look at^^
Gimme some good critique on this one would ya
hesadpencil: Hope you like the end result then^^
QETALIVAN: Thanks man
warry: Green hair is cool indeed
Delmar: I tried it out, but there was just to much complicity. Thanks for the crit though^^
What a milieu! Is that the right word?
Something that drew my attention and kinda seemed odd was the rimlighting on the characters in the background. They are not well lit, and don't appear to be important, but then there's this blow glow surrounding them that makes them noticeable, and it seems to conflict/distract. Yeah there's blue light hitting the back wall, but would the bounce light cause that much glow on their outlines?
It just seems like if you want them all to be readable, you should throw more light on them. I'm not sure, maybe the rimlighting helps unify them, but it just seems like a bit much on those background chars, and on the woman in particular.
Otherwise, a wonderful piece!
Hey folks^^ Some morning excercises
-Jedininjaman: Thanks for the comment signore^^
-Earendil: Actually I would agree, but the amount of background characters was actually something the client was pushing for. He followed the progress quite closely and made it clear that he wanted the in under any circumstance. But otherwise I agree with you
Oh dude, radical house! The lighting is kind of confusing me, though, dude. The main source seems to hit the left side of the tower, but the face of the house. But either way, your freedom of brushstrokes and that semi-line-work action you've got going on really tickles my tastes. Hurhurhur.
Wow, just been perusing your sketchbook, this a really inspiring thread. You've improved a ton in less than a year, and I love the way you've been doing your own ideas, combined with real life studies from the first to the last page.
I like how the multi-character scene came out, there's a few bits that could use some more polish, but the areas you're eyes are drawn to look really good. I love that greyscale face study too.
With your non-nude figure sketches earlier on in the sketchbook, were they mostly photo ref, or mostly real-life studies? They look wicked, but the problem I've always had with drawing people outside of lifedrawing classes, is that they tend to move about too much.
The house study is really well done. On the group figure placement above, for such careful color study I wish you had done more composition work like in your figure studies. Still the frame draws me in with its attention to details. Nice one!
Hey folks, sorry there was no update last night, but I had kind of a hard week, and I needed to unwind some, so I gamed it out^^ Call of duty 2 aint such a bad game you know, and that conan game (not age of conan, the other one where you actually play conan and get the chance to kill some fuckers in true cimmerian style) was pretty damn entertaining too^^
I am going out to do the sunday coffee shop sketching group today, so here are some thumbs, and a pre render for one of them.
Woo, more rendering on my crazy scientist dude^^ Good fun Tomorrow is study day, and my digital revolution is starting, and I am bringing the laptop to the still life session
Staticpen: It was five in the morning and I just wanted to lay it on. The light scheme is self contradicting, but it looks good, and that was what I cared about^^
Jacky-Boy: In hindsight you might be right, I will note it. My studies are most from real life and yes, people move to much, therefore, trap them where they can't do to much of it, like on the train, the bus or in a coffee shop
cout<mecha: YeaH I know, should pay more attention to it in the future
Algenpflegler: Thanks amigo
great work u are doing here, really, want to se more updates, really like the last one, colors?, keep working dude, cheers!
