You've got a nice thread going here. i like your studies, and first pencil sketches. Keep postin!
There is nothing wrong with using a photo to help you see things.
No one complains about life drawing,
so take a photo.
its easy, and will improve your piece greatly."
MER, metalwinds, i.was.ink: Thankīs a lot!

Bridgman and Hogarth Hand studies:
I really like the MAD Cover - youīve got a faible for this cartoony stuff, havenīt you?
I lately realized the minotaur with the miniature. I see you know Stefan Niehues. Heīs working for Assassin, isnīt he? Then maybe you know Dirk Stiller, too ... the world seems to be small, Iīm just getting in contact with my old "networks" in the roleplaying and miniature scene and there doesnīt seem to have changed a lot in the last ten years - you always meet the old people .
<Insert witty remark here>
still great work in here!
greatings from sicily
i love what you have been doing. your characture work is fantastic but what really knocked me out was the hand page, which is just too cool! i will continually check in with your thread. gives me a dose of talent reality.
fipse: Yes, Stefan is a good friend of me, and yes, he is still working for Assasin. He will be at the "Comic Action" in Essen too, and I hope we three will have a :chug: together.
Suder: What? Still in sicilia? You had enough holidays - Come home!
foster: Wow, jon! You made my day! Reading that YOU like my sketches is a TREMENDOUS MOTIVATIN BOOST! Thanks a lot man!
Clocktower Artworks:  Many, many thanks! I hope you did make the right decsision.
Hey Robolus, sharp work here, i really like the little studies, and the painter test. ~_~
Thanks for the kind words...
Yes we have to meet and :chug: ...

eSBeN:You are my sculpting heroe! The Ork will be goood, hey, I want one!
Bridgeman hand studies again:
whoa dood a lot is changing since you posted here..
your cartoons are pretty mad. get it, mad! awesome man..
hand studies own mine...
Very good studies but I like the little face in the corner:p . Very cool.
hi mister robolus! nice to see, that you keep it daily ... just kidding, but i would love to see more of your stuff! just great.
p.s.: man, i'm so glad that you never saw me after a hard night. i am able to look even more wasted compared to your scetch of marco  :bash: :barf: :crosseyed (sorry, might be bad english...)
xia, endregan, morbidhumor: Many, many thanks!:hello!:
Suder: Much worse than Marko? Hard to believe, I wanna seethat! :chug: Daily? Yeah, you are right! But I wasnīt lazy, have to work a lot, drawing thinks like this:
Here are the STEPS drawing one of those figurines. I rarely need a rubber. I use layout paper that I put above the drawings betweenn every step. I need a lot of paper, and sometimes I canīt see my desk anymore , but itīs my way to draw fast and efficient.
Ahh, and here are some of my finished BABYS !
Ah the good ole layer by layer on layer-technique ... makes me wanna get back to times when Layouting was drawing. I wonder how many tons of paper I wasted in the first 5 years of professional life .
What paper do you use? I have to buy new one and canīt get my Karacho-paper anymore. The Schleicher-Schütt marker paper is crap and bigraph is difficult to get ... I want to get back to this techniques to straighten up my linework.
<Insert witty remark here>
well, than show us this stuff. you know, that i like it. it's children's paradise...
it is very impressive, to see how you work with that layout paper. i saw it life once or twice, and it made me wonder how fast you are, using this technique. and, just like fipse, i was looking for good layout-paper here in cologne but i didn't found any. i wanted to give it a try, even if it would be frustrating for me...
p.s.: what about a "wasted-looking-contest"? you, marco and me and barrels of beer? :chug:
very good to see some awesome children stuff here at CA !
Fipse: I use "MARKER bleedproof Layout Paper 70g"!
Suder: Ha, ha! "Wasted look contest" with :chug:, good idea, I will ask him!
Ant4d: Thanks a lot, I donīt know if my children stuff is welcome in CA, but I think itīs O.K. to post it in my Sketchbook. I would like to have other jobs, but first I have to finish a portfolio with "serious" drawings and concepts.
Messy telephone doodles:
Drawn with the Copic Multiliner BS.
Itīs fun because of the soft brush tip.
hey, nice to see you posting again (i allready sterted becoming unpatient...)
i like the stuff, as allways. keep the good work up!
Thanks Suder! Arrk, you know my biggest problem - the time, the time! ...enough of bad ecxuses, here are some new head sketches:
whoa your telephone doodles rock my normal sketches!
awesome studies and your cartoons are cool too
My aplogies for not commenting on this sketchbook, I must have seen it because images look familiar, anyway fantastic studies and drawings, I really cant wait to see more drawings from you..wonderful toons as well.
Impressive sketches! Both the studies and the inked ones are great.
Im with TARGETE, dunno why I havent paid more attention to this book.
Really really impressive man, theres a certain classical quality to your work.
Are the latest at all ref'd or purely from your nogan?
If ref'd. Stunning. If conceptual.. then Im floored!
Do you work with Marko?
Some good stuff here! The B/W drawings with the "Copic" are very reminiscent of Mort Drucker's work with a little less characterization. And I really enjoy looking at the sketches of your cat..... Esmeralda. All in all, quite nice. I'll be waiting for more!
enregan, van, roger: Thanks a lot guys!
TARGETE: Many thanks! Iīm looking at your work for a loong time now, and... ahh, a smiley says more than 1000 words:
Lukias: Thanks! From the first are number 1 and 6 with ref, from the second number 1, 4 and 5. No, I donīt work with Marko, heīs one of my best friends. But I would love to.
scumble fish: Many thanks! Mort Drucker is great!
