Nice work. Umm one suggestion, try staying away from coloring for now, even though its very tempting .ANd start working on those figures.I dont want to specific crits, becuase I think working on the larger issue will help you more than just correcting the peice. so get yourself books on figure drawing, anatomy, and such by guys like andrew loomis, bridgeman, hogarth. These booka re available for free online too.
and cheap print versions through dover publications. Also try staying away from stylizations for the time being.style will come on its own just stay sincere towards your art.
bhanu's got great advice there.
Specifically, that left hand aint right. Check the buldge on the outer hand part, its at the bottom of the hand there. Also the upper right arm doesn't work to well (i think its the foreshortening or just bad anatomy). Studying more anatomy would definitley help overall as bhanu suggested already.
hope that helped a bit
Some great advice here so far.
I really like the pic, but it seems like Anime-ish style images like these sometimes benefit from more minimalism in terms of color usage, rendering and linework.
There are many things to improve here, but what stands out the most is the anatomy issue. However, for your first post it's pretty badass . I love the character's expression.
Cheers (and keep posting!),
The linework is nice and clean (on the whole, except for a few places on the neck), and the color is handled simply but pretty well. But it's obvious that there are a lot of places in the anatomy and drapery where you're throwing in detail for its own sake without really knowing what you're doing.
