These doodles are pretty original. Your characters seems so real! It's llike if they really had a life! I like them!
My Sketchbook [ACTUALLY UPDATED!]
I have 800 posts
Most original shit I I've ever seen.
So, I've got a big art chubby for just about anything James Jean does, but I really dig his low contrast pieces. So, I decided to take a stab at that approach and see what happens.
Thanks, guys! Here's another quickie from today, yet another in a long line of Scott pieces:
amazing work... your colors are lessons.
I just can't manage to be as synthetic with it.
You're posting alot lately and it makes me happy!
Perhaps a touch of magenta here and there on the mural, might be a personal pref...
Pieter, Thanks! I'm going low sat on this one to match the palette in the room decor. I might try a little punch here and there but want to keep it clear of juicy fruit.
Our drawing topic at work is Halloweeny Video games, so here's some progress on a Splatterhouse piece:
Beautiful work on the Splatterhouse piece! Ricks punching arm doesn't have much form though, lets see some tensed muscles to add even more action!
I haven't played this game in ages, I'm going to see if i can go download it, when I'm done i hope to see more progress!
Keep it up!
Yeah, I've been avoiding that arm a bit. Though, my overall intent was not to bulk him up as much as he was in the game. But, there is some things lacking and tension is one of them; was also thinking about brass knuckles.
Niiice. I work for a gaming company too! But, alas I'd like to draw more, or at least do some awesome keyframed animation. My studio relies heavily on mo-cap
That last one is WONDERFUL! I love that piece! Somehow very weird but .... I like that ^^ cannot really explain why Show more of your amazing art
awesome! what exactly is underpainting?
We learn in life so we can live in dreams
My illustrated story blog:
underpainting is that monochromatic middle stage, where you work out rough values. Normally, I'm so eager to get rendering, I skip most of that step and render just in color. But, it's really helpful for balancing value before you start working about color.
Something on the table:
Edit: Uploaded Images doesn't seem to be showing, so here:
