Sometimes we want to give ourselves the due credit for an eye for things, but really mostly the credit goes to good reference and the right amount of practice.
It can help everyone attain the level of realism that they wanted.
As we go along at the end of the day painting/rendering is just the right color in the right place.
My take on this weeks challenge is to incorporate the word Scala Naturae.
The great chains of nature and the renaissance depiction of fairies and fay.
Although mostly I wanted to stray a little towards the darker approach as a way to suggest that our transgression against nature has produced a reflection of her cruelty in the shape of innocence.
I might have missed the point on the deliverable being conceptual in nature but I just can't help it by bringing it into completion, truth be told that i am using this opportunity as an idea generator and the sense of community just helps to give the extra spur *not to mention the deadline within a week, also being potential pieces for my portfolio building, i just want to make sure i give them the polish they need!
Hopefully not changing the rhythm of the competition by having everyone doing the same and missing the point of CHOW!
hey man, gorgeous work. Really liking how you approach skin tones; they have a shine and a life to them. Also, really nice painterly quality to your work. What program are you using ? Photoshop or painter ? I'm curious about your approach.
