I did this for teen challange. didn't spend too much time on it
damn, my stuff from imagination is terrible
I've also done a few traditional studies with acrylics and oils, but I don't have camera so I can't post them
I haven't posted anything for a while...
a couple paintings from imagination
a couple studies. Used Frazettas drawings as a reference
Whats up cecill! awsome sketchbook you have here, really like seeing the progression from the first post. The skull on the top of this page is badass man very nicely done. Also good choice on studying Frazetta I really have learned so much from him. Would you be interested in a starting a sketchbook group?
till next time -Omerta
sketchbook updated October 6th
OmertA, I'm not sure if I would be able to keep daily updates. As you can see I really lack consistency when it comes to posting new stuff. Maybe sometime later.
studies from ref
this one was inspired by bumskee
some kind of head without ref
haven't posted for a while
no refs for these
B-Man, thanks and I'll try to do more color stuff in the future.
study after Marko Djurdjevic
older traditional paintings. painting with real paint is so much harder!

O kiek daug stuffo, jau galvojau pradejai tinginiaut gerai su tapybiniais susitvarkei, ypac tas pirmas veidas labai patiko, labai naturaliai atrodo. dabar paskutiniam veide, jos desine akis kazkokia kreiva sleiva, reikejo proporcijas geriau islaikyt kai piestuku piesiai ir labai laikytis liniju kai su dazais pradejai. Piestukiniai irgi labai geri, nu kai visada aisku, graziai seseliuoji tu blemba ;/
pijau, aciu. as visalaik ta pacia klaida darau kai zinau kad tapysiu ant virsaus. po to pasinervinu, pasakau sau kad daugiau taip nebedarysiu ir kita diena vel ta pati darau
nieko gero :/
something from head
I'll try to post updates more often from now on
Sup there cecill!
badass studys man lookin real good
still cant get enough of that skull on the top of the page
keep having fun learning and observing
till next time -Jamie

Lots of really good stuff and interesting studies. Keep it up, you're a machine by the way that is a really creepy skull.
Wow, amazing anatomy studies
(Now you've made me want to do lots of studies too , thanks)
Every problem is an opportunity in disguise.
Thanks a lot Omerta, Vloth, Junpei. Highland turkey, the thing that my drawings can motivate someone to do something motivates me even more. thanks.
some studies. one page is from head, I think it's easy to say which
Can't crit too much, only suggest you to think more about the cools vs warms in your portraiture and how u manipulate em.(For ex. if u use cool colors for natural lightning and warms for the shadows, or negative result for unnatural warm lightning, warmer upper part of the man's portrait, and cooler lower, because of the beard, which usually makes this part cooler than the rest of the face, places where the anatomical structure, and the color of the skin differs(ex. nose, ears), cheeks which usually have more red color as well). I'm not saying u should go for open contrasting colors right away, just think of it, how the colors differ on different places in our face, that should help you to make one more step up
What goes for drawing, I know these are just sketches, but even when you do sketches, you can concentrate on the details that you need or want to be more important than the rest ones, make them more contrasting than the ones you don't. Show confidence in what you are doing, and that you are getting this not only because it happened so, but that you wanted IT to happen so.
I won't talk as most of your visitors do, that u have kickass images, style, or whatever, I'll try to give u some tips that might be useful for ya, And oh, by the way, I'll make u know when my SB will be ready too.
Kinda awkward to talk in English, but as far as I know you understand me, so lets give the chance for visitors of your SB to understand us as well, and anyway my English is a total crap and I can improve it a lil bit here
towy, Jephyr X, Holland thanks
Justas, everything is so true what you said. I really need to pay more attention to warms and cools and detailing is one of my biggest weakness for a long time (probably since I got interested in drawing ). Thanks a lot. Waiting for your sketchbook
I'll probably post an update tomorrow
Well, if you have problems with small masses, you can try a different approach to them. Try to think oppositively from direct copying of em from nature. Anyway if you are still going to do that, stick yourself more to the nature, get closer to the object which you are sketching/drawing (not physicaly, lol)
And what I could say about the last one, is that his arm joints seem to be twisted, and the head, since you dont use an perspective that is obviously seen on the whole body, because of the large mass of shoulders, is a bit too small.
studies from books and life. Some of them are from head
and one more portrait from head. I think I'll spend some more time on this
