I've been looking through your sketchbook and your pencil rendering has a lot of the same lighting feel to it (not that it isn't GREAT rendering). This last post has a way better impact on the rendering for painting. Good stuff.
creatures have really dynamic rendering, and solid form. that speedy is good fun tho, good to subvert photos once in a while as the basis for an image.

Great job on those critters on the previous page. The tones are super solid but maybe try pushing the silhouettes further and considering the rhythm of each creature (like I'm one to talk - I suck at creatures!).
great stuff here ) especialy like pencil pics and last one
oishiiniku: Thanks for the great advice man!!
Leo Snow: Thanks so much!

What the!!! Awesome!
good to see you really pushing out of your comfort zone with your color choices. im curious to see how you are going to move forward. id suggest pushing texture details and thinking about material even more. metal should read as metal plastic as plastic ect... ur on ur way man
great stuff in here mate all super inspiring , very solid feeling to everything keep it up
the progress in here is unbelievable . great book man , i gotta drop by more often.

good stuff lately
Dude the last environment is hawt!
I feel that the castle in the distance could use some darkening though (or perhaps a cloud drifting majestically behind it) to create some contrast. I find myself looking at the middle of the picture right above the 2nd hill because that is the point of highest contrast for me.
But you definately got some cool stuff going on in here. That character in the bamboo forest is really well rendered.
ps. is that a chin guard I spot on him?
ps2. if so; awesome
Damn nice characters and enviros! I really need to do more digital painting.
Thanks for checkin out my sketchbook.

sweet update man, really diggin the sketchbook stuff too.
whooo that last landscape really jumped out! I HAVE to start experimenting more with such techniques...there are only a few things that bug me, like the saturation mixture on the top of the middle hill and bright lines to the left of the tree...yadda yadda nice work!
Sick as always!
