Wow, guys, thanks for the replies!
iambanana: Thanks, yeah, I think I just need to keep working on the digital stuff and it will catch up! :)
D@niel: Thanks! means a lot from you.
Flaskpost: Thanks! I actually kind of hated that sketchbook, haha. Toned paper is good for a few things, but not all that versatile, you know?
paran0id: Thanks! She is just some girl I found a bunch of pics of on the net.
And! Here are some color studies I have started doing in order to try and catch my color work up. I plan to do one daily, these are original size btw.
They kind of suck bc I have so much to learn!
Some zbrush fun this morning. I have so much to learn about that program!
I would love to see more z-brush stuff from you.
Great sketchbook! Really nice progress. Great work so far on that last self portrait. Would be cool to see more z brush stuff as DeeLock says.
By the way, thanks for stopping by in my sb!
Thanks guys! There will be more zbrush to come for sure! Fun fun fun.
In other new, i feel pretty good about both of these. Both are actual size.
Your environments are very uniform, same sized cracks, mountains, and shadows.
Do some studies of environments from photos to get a better feel for how they work.
Keep it up!
Thanks for the tip DeeLock! I'll try and mend that.
Here is a wip for the CHOW.
Haha that wip looks fantastic man!:)
Thanks Daniel, that means a lot!!
Here is an update on my two current wips
Zbrush! Much to learn, but I'm addicted I think!
God dammit! What the fuck is with having to fill out a god damn form for every image? Horrible idea, because Im not going fill out a fucking questionnaire for each image, and now these images will go dead some years from now.
Stuff from the past few days.
Here is an update on this guy too, I guess.........
the goblin gunslinger looks great.
and the zbrush is coming together nicely!
I really like the four-eared bunny (if that's what it is :D )
Here's a teaser still from an animation I'm working on
(Goddamn that copyright info is a bitch!)
Take your digi studies further man, I have realized that I learn so much more when I take them to a more complete stage.
Oh, and these last few sketchbook pages are wonderful!
Thanks Goog! I'll do some longer studies!
Here is a wip.
Here are some car concepts. Im going to take two of them further and do some variations of them.
And here is a theatre poster for my conceptual illustration class.
(long legs intentional, in order to mimic the justice scale)
That environment really shows how far you've come.
As far as this new poster project goes, is it going to be a triptych or just the one poster, cuz i like the idea of it being in 3 separate panels. Your color study is nice but i think that you were more successful in you original sketch, there's a lot more movement and more weight than what you have going right now.
We should start doing study buddys again! that was awesome.
Edit: oh nevermind those are just different thumbs...doy.
DeeLock: Thanks for the feedback. We'll start up the studies buddies soon!
Here is the next iteration of my Galaxy Grand Prix. They aren't done yet, but I got antsy and wanted to post, haha.
And here are some sketches. It's been a while since I've drawn from the live model, so I'm a bit rusty.
Hey, the digital paintings are getting a lot better. Keep it up!
Hey! Those sketches are nice!
And "Oh God, Frump," is definitely going to be featured in my sketchbook :P
I was doodling this thing in class and the girl behind me was like 'Did you draw that?? Like, right now??' So I feel like I have to post this. Took like five mins I think. I'll be posting proper thumbnials for this piece in the next day or so, but i was just fooling around when I got the assignment.
And two sketch pages
Took that guy from the sketch further.
