Lets do this thing...
Lets do this thing...
le me be the first one to say..
Very good use of values, shadows and lights. A wonderful display of anatomical skills, although I feel the queen/princess has a face that is not the same quality as the rest of your work. I love the cloth. More plz.
Heres one from last nights life drawin'...
Kaktuzlime: Thanks, yeah her face had some problems, I eventually turned it into a digital painting and I needed to transform and distort it all around.
Jebus christ. Your drawing technique isn't just good, it's interesting as well. Mind telling me what medium you used on that last sketch, or is it just photoshop?
FAxtar, you weak are not!
aprat: Its this pastel-type stuff called "Yarka Sauce" They sell it in these wood boxes, with 10 assorted values in nuetral earthy tones. They're very soft and buttery. All are done on cheap newsprint, building the vaules from dark to light overtop of eachother. here are 3 more done in the same way...
Good stuff - I need to find me a life drawing class!
That first piece is priceless, man. Wish i could see the full res.
well as my first post I got to say HI "el salam O'alikom"
well ... I cannot say anything but awesome and way to go.
but I got a comment about this one
if she's pregnet this wow .... "thumbs up dude"
if not ... then she should be more chubby than so...
but I adore your work man ... way to go
i'm lovin what i'm seeing here:D
the first drawing in the first post rocks;) moooore
love the cross hatching stuff it seems to define the forms very well
You have pretty good technique, so that gets my approval.
But. You. Need. To. Stop. Drawing. Naked. People.
(and yes I plan to complain about this in every single thread on Concept Art)
beautiful figures dude. well, not all of them are necessarily beautiful, in the case of the severly overweight lady near one of your first posts but they're beautifully rendered. keep it up.
gigglepixie: Do it, nothing better than drawing naked people. 8)
J.Peckham: Thanks! I uploaded a higher-res version.
darkelement:Hey, thanks yeah thats was a weird pose some things are probly way off.
softocean: Yeah, I love me some crosshatching. I went to the Met in NYC recently and saw some rembrandt etchings with hatching that made me :xpld:
Goodbye..fromthevoid: Haha no way, how are you supposed to learn the anatomy or correct proportions with all that fabric in the way?
ArtZealot: Thanks man, and yeah shes pretty big but its nice to learn how to draw different body types.
very kew stuff. LOVE the first one... and the various monsters. The people are fantastic. it's nice to see LD's of more than just anorexic females, or even females in general!
orionterron99: Thanks, here are some more females in general from lifedrawing.
nice work dude, u got that lady figure down pat! good use of shadin too brutha
Value feast ahoy! Im saving a few, really like how you work.
for example this one, impressive how you discribe form with such flat
Banshax: Yeah just using the side of a pastel stick is a good way of getting some quick value into a gesture drawing.
here are the results form last nights weekly life drawing.
You have some spectacular figure drawings here!! like this one
what medium is it?
Great job! This is cool too!
rblitz7: That one is nupastel on rough newsprint along with this pastel-like stuff called Yarka Sauce http://www.dick-blick.com/items/200/...1-0000-1ww.jpg Working from dark to light, only using about 5 colors.
Here is this weeks stuff...
Great stuff. I love your monster designs in the first image and in post 15. You have an excellent control over value with your figures, sometimes harsh and sometimes delicate. I can't crit you, so just keep drawing! I look forward to more.
Great stuff man, nice renders, good figure studies.
Keep posting man.
Great work - especially your rendering skills. Sometimes proportions are a bit off, mainly in the more complicated poses. But still amazing work.
here some more stuff, some of it is old, some is from last night.
1 hour long pose from last week
1 hour long pose from last night
cast drawing in carcoal I did about 6 months ago
cast drawing detail
old oil self-portrait just for kicks
Oil portait from life that I did last spring
portait of an old man I copied from a painting by Sir James Guthrie
Here is all new stuff...
Hey Faxtar, I was just browsing through here when I realized, "hey I know this guy!". This is James, we had Linda Warner's Portrait class together and I occasionally hit up Life Force meetings. Your work is looking good man, keep it up.
Jedmo: Hey James! Good luck with the ConcertArtAtelier! I'm sure you're gonna improve crazy fast, good luck.
More new stuff...
My teacher worked on the last one alittle bit and tightened it up.
