Durin/Piru- Thanks man!
anymale- Thanks, will do!
Serp- Yep. Going to try and get some more life drawing going.
Had a few big projects for school to start, so I skipped updating yesterday. Art in general may be put on the back burner for a while, but only a few days at the most, just until I get a better schedule worked out.
Yesterday and today- Brush pen gestures. trees, people, faces, whatever. Just trying to get as much down as I can as fast as I can. After a while hopefully this will loosen up my poses.
I fell like a poopoo.
My head is clogged to the brim. Some Peer Proj stuff and a stupid little head doodle from imagination.
09/19/06 update- Feeling better physically, but my brain is petty fried. Update moved to tomorrow.
I like how your still life of the matches turned out. I think you should try to define the other quickies a bit tighter, you can keep up the pace, but try to get closer and closer to the true form of these things!
Great studies. I really need to do more of this kind of stuff. I dig the matchbook too. ^_^
whoo, finally exiting the disease induced haze that has been preventing my drawing. Lotsa art stuffs tomorrow.
Replies tomorrow too.
feeling better, eh?
Got some joe, glad to hear the good news! the value studies are really impressive. thanks for dropping the ca luv on the sketchbook. do your replies by tomorrow or end up like me :nohope: You should start up a sketchgroup, though it may interfere with your sketchbook rthym, it definitely has with mine.
Durin-Piru- Thanks! Will do.
Hyptosis- Thanks! I'm surprised everyone liked that, I didn't really like it at the time and really didn't spend much time on it. Does that mean I'm doing something right? Sweet!
Hiemlichguggenmaneuver- Thanks man! Well, first I got to find people near me (and around my age) who like art, which isn't going so good. And since school is already bullying art around, maybe it's for the best.
Okay, today started as a sucky drawing day, so I just did Loomis, trying to work back up to my base level. This is all put in chronological order.
Except this one, which should be fourth.
looking good. I see a lot of progress over past images. The matches are looking really nice.
keep up the progress
Takes some dedication to do as many direct studies as you do man! Bravo, make sure you keep your morale up though, you need to have fun too!
Cheers and thanks for keeping the PPv2 (andV1) alive.
kuroart- thanks man!
Tom- Thanks, will do. No prob man!
My brain is slowly returning to normal. Heres some torso studies and a reeeaally quick sketch out for the latest Teen-challenge.
Finally starting to get a bit of a grip on Loomis. May switch some focus over to enviros and composition for a while.
Thumbs, Loomis, and an updated Teen challenge.
Been a few days without replies. And thus, we enter the dry season before the flood.
More work on the T-challenge and some messing around with colors. Going to have to get going if I'm gonna get in on that gesture T-dome.
Yo, new gestures are lookin pretty damn good. For the T challenge, I think at this point you could drop in more large areas of color and start thinkin about what the thing will feel like as a whole. Once that's kinda in place you can start diggin into the rendering and stuff. Good start!
AndyP- Thanks! Appreciate you dropping by, I really like your stuff.
Not too much drawin' time today, just some new gestures.
ALSO-soon to be implemented is the full use of the CA imageupload.
-good studieng........KEEP MORE POSTING..... GOOD LUCK...... :yayca:
Closing in on page nine 'cause the drawin' don't stop!
Mag-Neo- Thanks for stopping by!
Really falling in love with ink all over again. Been working entirely in ball-point pen for the past few days, and I think it's really helping my lines.
Okay, Some moleskine drawings of a fountain, and some more gestures. I've got two day's to crank out 50 more gestures and finish my Teen challenge.
NOTE TO SELF- Only participate in one T-dome at a time!
T-challenge update and more gestures. Up to 81, so I'll definately dodge the Losatar.
Man, I've got a lot of catching up to do!! 81! wow. ^_^
Hyptosis- Thanks! I'll drop by your book SOONS. Been slacking.
I'm done with the Teen challenge and the 100 gestures. Phew, 106 gestures is a lot.
Thumbs and stuff for the newly revived sketchling project.
Wow, you've been busy! As the same time as watching your thread makes me realize exactly how lazy I am, it's very inspiring to see your hard work! Keep on doing it, man.
Serp- Thanks man!
Okay, explanation. Short story, I've been slacking on some projects for school so this week I got to haul ass to get them done in time. Getting near the end, so my time is finally getting a bit of a gap. Art starting again tomorrow, and I'm really happy to get some time for drawing again. Here's a speedy from tonight to get back into the swing of things.
I know I said art yesterday, but I decided to overhaul and just get through it all at once. NOTE- No updates Saturday or Sunday because I'll be away.
So today, some Loomis arms. May experiment with paint over the weekend.
Oh, and if you didn't already know, The Smiths rock pretty dang hard.
I'm back again!
In order- Crappy first attempt at acrylics from life, Peer project, Loomis, and a nut from life.
hey man, long time since ive been here.
our dedication and hard work shows, and yuour making improvements all over the place.
I like the acrylic although it looks a bit unfinished.
Keep at it
Still slaving away I see. good work, nice studies. ^_^
Nice colours in the acrylic, but it's very sloppy. I don't know how big you worked here, but try to be tidier (tidyer?) the next time. Keep doing the studies, but don't just copy the book. Try to find the muscles you know by heart in life people.
Blanquish- Thanks! Yeah it is kind of unfinished, next time I'll try not to rush it.
Hyptosis- Thanks for dropping by! I'll stop by your SB soon.
Serp- Thanks man, will do!
Today- Life drawing! Statues and buildings. sorry for the crappy scans.
GOod exercices. Do some more of these :)
Can't crit much for the moment.
