I like the loose ink and watercolor in the first sheet of the SB! Especially then one on the left because of the dynamic pose and the way you've lifted interesting parts with orange. The big, confident brushstrokes in studies like this one and this one also look great, I just wish there was more detail somewhere in them to form a contrast. I wish you spent more time in each sketch in general, adding detail to points of interest, like you've done in some of the heads, but more. :)
This sketch has a really nice basic composition and colors and could make a good portfolio piece. The other thigh and upper arms look too long and head touching the top border looks distracting but I really like the face and wings!
Wow awesome studies and works! Really digging the Frazzta type paintings and Barbarian feel to them. Like Conan type stuff. Cant wait to see more :)
Hey man, these ones
Are amazing. Looking forward to see more!
Oh, and I did a quick paintover on this one, I think you need to broaden the composition to make the storytelling clearer:
you have some ambitious scenes going on in here! There's a lot of potential in them and in your value-work especially. Keep working, and stick to your unique approach and style.
Really great stuff here man. Love your Leyendecker study and your Genie is coming along nicely.
The amount your doing is inspiring, makes me think I need to get my arse in gear and start doing more, more, more:)
Nice balance of digital and tradicional, I specially like the tradicional ones on update #4, keep it up!
Very very nice Leyendecker study. Awesome sketchbook man, keep it coming
Ah man awesome updates! Im still loving your style with the painting! Its so lose and tight at the same time(thats what she said hehehe) But yea awesome updates! I reeally wanna see you tackle some more perspetcive! It can be a great foundation to have! But so is painting and compostion, which i have like no skills in right now so im learning alot from you updates hahaha :) Keep going!!!
hey great enviro stuff they look really fresh and fluid in your style. Watch your edges, that still life you are doing has too many soft edges, try some careful hard lines, I think it will really bring your stuff together :) keep up the good work!
Great updates as usual man!! I got that James Gurney book Color and light so im filling myself up with a bunch of knowledge so im better prepared for the paintings im doing. Its still my kryptonite though as of right now hahaha Thanks for stoppingby my sletchbook again! Looking forward to seeing more from you!
