3DS max thingy's after our first lessons on how to use primitives (and a few modifiers)
basic concept of city scene
Well done :)
Just a couple of suggestions: it might be a good idea to render out an ambient occlusion pass when you're showing off your models to others. It will bring out more details much more clearly and give the overall a much more appealing look (aesthetics matter ;) ) I'm not experienced in 3Ds Max (I'm a Maya user) though, so I couldn't tell you what the workflow is for that. I'm sure you know (or will find out soon enough).
I'm guessing you have a camera set view for the city scene concept, as you've cut off some of those buildings? Would be great to see it from the angle that's intended :)
I cant get my cups to look like stainless steel, like the steel with the litle grooves in it.
Here is a link to an example: http://img.diytrade.com/cdimg/831187...Steel_No_4.jpg
this is how it should look
Cool stuff man. There's a tutorial on Blenderguru on how to create the exact material you're looking for, maybe you could try to use a similar approach in Max. http://www.blenderguru.com/videos/in...ropic-shading/
