Gene Lange - Thanks,love your comment :)
Blunderguffer - Thank you very much! The Vildhjarta and Vederlag stuff was made this summer so it's kind of up to date. Always fun when you don't have to wait for 2 years to show your work.
Skickar ett PM om utbildning och lite tankar kring det.
lewiston - Thank you very much! absolutely love your rendering skills and sense of lighting.
Wow, your concept art is just so fun to look at- The colors are so vibrant and the ideas are very interesting!
For someone who doesn't know anything about websites, your website is terrific. It has so much style and creativity. Almost every website you see is boring but yours makes up for them!
You have very nice paintings in different styles! Loved specially your color pallettes! :)
Webdesign was my first trade and while I find your website very visually appealing, it pulls my attention off of the specific artwork you are trying to display in your gallery section. There are so many distractions but your art is so great that it could easily stand on it's own.
Great stuff. You are truly an illustrator- one who can draw anything under the sun. Thanks for sharing! ;)
Aydinal - Thank you very much!
Artfix - Thanks! I don't know anything about making websites either :) It is just a big image in the background and some smaller images for buttons. Glad you like it!
isissousa - Thanks! Yep, I love to explore new ideas and techniques. Especielly when working digital there is tons of ways to draw an image.
Lithriel - Yeah, I know, I got a little bit carried away when I made the website. Just had so much fun putting it all together. I guess I tought you might remember it among all the other websites out there. And I have been thinking about getting myself on of those carbonmade portfolio websites. But thanks a lot for the feedback and it makes me happy that you like my stuff! :)
Gpozzo - Thanks a bunch!
Have put together a small making of of Vildhjarta's debut album Måsstaden. So here is pretty much all of the finished work and some wips and alternative ideas and compositions for some of the images.
Sorry for the repost of some of the images, hope you like anyway!
Have a nice day people!
Amazing! I love how things read so dark. The eye start discovering things all the time that didn't kew were there.
Very inspiring stuff and love your website! Btw. What program did you use to create your site?
Your stuff is extremely nice. Very interesting concepts.
Whole buncha awesome. I'd like to give a more articulate reply, but awesome sums it up! :D
this stuff is amazing, i love your design work especially..wow..just wow
Great work!! Thanks for showing your wips, they help a great deal.
[Long text in lame English ahead!]
I was killing time on YouTube some time ago when I suddenly stumbled upon some Vildhjarta video, maybe Måsstaden preview or something like that. I never heard of them and never really liked progressive/alternative metal, so I decided to give it a try and clicked on video. And... Cover art was the highest achievement of musical branding in history of mankind. I googled and found your blog and your art for album booklet. That's when my mind was blown. I've never seen such a beautifully made artworks. It moves something inside you and make you shiver, you stare at it and you feel kind of astonished. I am personally cold-hearted and don't show any feelings at any situation, but your artworks left something inside of my mind and make me experiencing indescribable feelings. All of them at the same time.
Personificated animal characters looks so real and intense and they make me feel to enter that drawn world they are living in. This desire multiplied when I started reading Alice in Wonderland for #th time and listening to "Fairy Tale" by Omnia. (Must-hear song!).
Then I found out that you are here on ConceptArt too :) Sorry for long comment and maybe you are not here on ConceptArt at all, but I wanted to say THANK YOU!!
By the way, do you know if the booklet is included in every CD or just in some limited editions? I badly want to buy it! I still don't like their music, but I'd kill for that booklet!
Hotel Babylon is Amazing!, and the first image is pretty darn cool too!.
I am sorry for the late reply everyone! Your comments have been a great support this past year/months/weeks.
lennon - thanks! Had a really bright screen when I worked on that, but I am glad you like the dark!
TeemuR - Thanks! Sorry for taking a year to answer your question. I use Homestead, it is like website making for dummies, and kind of expensive. But easy to use and edit, no programming skills needed, basically just place stuff where you want it.
ZombieMariachis - Thanks!
Ray Dillon - Thanks for that summary! :)
ColumbusSage - Thanks, I have worked some more on the design front this past year. I just don't know if it fits this finished section. Should probably start a sketchbook.
orangus - Cool thing you liked the wips! Thanks!
Skapry - Thanks, have plans on updating it though.
Spellsword95 - Thanks for the great support man! I like your english.
The Vildhjarta artwork turned out really cool, was an insane process to make it in the limited time we had, but I learned a lot. And I ma really glad that you like it as much as you do. The booklet and all the images is in every Måsstaden album copy as far as I know. Though the booklet is printed very very dark.
I might start a sketchbook around here. Have a lot of strange ideas going on.... :)
nmx009 - Thanks! Have kind of revisited a similar universe as that Thanatos image. Will post some of that in a couple of months I guess.
Javier - Thanks!
So, I thoguht I would introduce PAVILION, which is my current project. It is an interactive experiences kind of thing in a visual world that roams the same universe as the old romantic painters of Arnold Böcklin and C D Friedrich, among others.
Feel free to read about, watch trailer and see more screenshots at wwwinthepavilion.com
+ some random mysterious images, including the latest Vederlag cover for the EP "vad som komma skall".
Take care everyone,
Awe inspiring! Fabulous work. Beautifully dark. The seventh image and the Emerald Lakes are breathtaking!
Fantastic mind blowing work. Surreal and dark, yet colorful and lively at the same time.
