so i wanted to apply some stuff from it
gogo daggers! push it!
Yesterday and today's study.
Drawing hands and feet aren't too big of a deal anymore, however Rendering them is a huge issue. There for the following study.
And the obligatory anatomy page :O
My Fingers have started to hurt from pushing too hard on my wacom as well as holding my pen with an iron grip, so I'm trying to loose up in my drawing.
As you can obviously see from the decrease in quality :(
check out my sketcbook and give a critique or comment
Awesome, I get to post after Artofinca :nohope: love your latest stuff...
Todays study. Trying to work on my values. 1,5 hours.
Good stuff daggers, feel that hard work paying off!
Chris - have you tried setting the pressure sensitivity higher in "Wacom properties"? You don't have to press so hard for a decent stroke, though you do have to press very lightly to get a soft stroke.
Also, may sound silly, but try to eat less foods which cause inflammation - makes a difference! Red meat, gluten, spicy and dairy products - eat more greens! Worked for my wrist.
More figures, all from mjranum stock.
The Crimson Daggers are so motivating! So many hard working people =)! here's some of the study's i did thanks to/during the stream:
[ste] - thanks m8!
Good work guys!!
More faces :s gawdd I need practice drawing heads, lots and lots
Colour portrait study for me today (have pilfered the work sheet you have on your blog Dave). Took me probably 2 hrs or something like that - not remotely finished, but its great having a study group!!
I took the ref from 88pixels on deviantart. Not that accurate, but for me portraiture isn't always about photo accuracy, but character (thats my excuse anyway ;) )
Here he is. I love wrinkly old faces like this.
This morning's face study.
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but it comes from all the studies and there would be no way I would have done this without all the daggers pushing me to study and improve, this stuff really work!!
Today´s photo study during given time (damn, i´ve got to become faster):
+ some refinement:
been busy the past few days finishing my sargent and setting up a free weekend atelier in my apartment. heres some shots of the initial test run, we switched out and modeled for one another, and the experience was totally rad. Its being led by a classically trained portrait artist and fine arts painter from umass who agreed to help out. theres 5 of us now, but the numbers are growing! crimson daggers weekend edition is starting up in massachusetts! most of these have them painting me, haha. enjoy my sour mug.
I wish I could join, it looks totally awesome :)
That looks awesome Dan, wish I could join for some happy sketching.
But for now I remain in my dark corner, drawing heads that looks way to comic-like.
