I've always wondered, how do you make these, do you just take a brush and begin scribbling/drawing/filling out your details? It just looks like you where completely laidback and not worried about making mistakes just showing ideas.
Suja: Thanks for comment. I mostly start scribbling abstracts, yes, but I am worried very much actually about making mistakes/ about details of the work. Judging by seeing my classmates drawing and by what they say when see me drawing, I do care very much.
classy as hell.
i love the nightmare ones. the little crab people chasing you down the tunnel? one of my favourite things ever.
Velocity: yeah, nightmares are good
early, very first test scene from a game I am making
Inspired by yume nikki by any chance?
walnut Never heard about that. I am inpired by Cactus from Sweden, check his games out: http://cactusquid.com/
Bloody ell, there are some morbidly gruesome good things in and over here.
Love your sketches (as usually).
Thank you hu-ha.
Guys if you by any chance know about a community around fashion illustration, please let me know. Like here we have the creature activities, I'd love me some er.. clothes? activities. Cause I really need help with this. I signed to a fashion drawing class at school, but not sure if it's going to be any use.
Black and white gold, i'm telling ya.
As for fashion illustration, can't help you there. There's loads of fashion blogs around however, maybe you could try making contact there? Also, maybe it's worth the while to lay your eggs in the CHOW, give that sectiom some fresh blood. Tell you what, if you ev come across some good fashion illo resources, please let me know.
this is one of my favourites;
richard grey and kareem ilya are incredible.
walnut thanks. I was thinking on drawing these hipster kids from lookbook.nu. Are you in? We can pick a "look" to illustrate and a deadline. As for CHOW, yes yes, I need to make an e-mail notification for new topics, if that's possible on here.
Velocity, that's not really my cup of illustrators. Actually I can't think of any good fashion illustrator, however I like very much this guy:
Gonna have to decline your offer! Can't even get round to getting my own stuff made, it's an intersting proposal tho. If you're interested in hipster portraits, maybe this is an interesting place if you don't know it yet: http://www.hel-looks.com/
Also i believe there was a thread where you could make suggestions for CHOW, but its been ages since i participated so i don't know how they go at it nowadays.
walnut: yes, Helsinki street fashion, I know about that blog.
I don't have any suggestions on CHOW topics..
hey i like that guys work you linked to!
your girls seem much more attractive than the super rendered megan fox paints you see everywhere too..
