feeling terrible lately.
1. i seriously need to learn how to render with pencils.
2. looking-down-on-the-paper view is very unflattering.
3. i need to pluck my eyebrows soon.
Ummm, i hope this covers all the days that i've missed? :P Mostly blind (contour?) drawings.
I'm currently so busy, i can actually forget about this totally! sowwyyy.
textures, textures. Oh and my eyebrows has been shaped. :P
photography, and a little DI. HAHA. :D
come on girl, now you're at home all day long, you should make a huge update with like a thousand portraits !
wow , you have so many different looks !
I wanna see you make a portrait with a lot of time put into it, the longer I spend on a drawing the more I seem to learn, I've been used to rushing all my work so by forcing myself to sit an hour or two on a SP I feel helps quite a bit.
Keep it up! and thanks for your encouragement and kindness :bashful:
kikindaface/Walid - HAHA. Sorry i have other things to attend to. What's with the name change dude? :P
amianna - Thanks girl! :)
Sorry, this is probably stupid of me updating anyway. The worst no. 100 ever. Bad mood. Won't be updating this in a while, like i have said i have other things to attend to. Take care guys.
hi there. i am jobless, therefore i am back. i suck. i need to work on solid outlines before painting.
You should focus on spending more time on each portrait.
The more time you spend, the more you'll learn and you will improve faster.
Keep doing these.
post 157...its supposed to be scary right..but somehow the eyes look..cute? hehehe...
And yes..I agree with Dan Lucas...pick one piece to work on for an extended period of time..you don't have to sit there and work on it for 15 hours straight...
an hour or 2 a day..for a week or so...you can still do quick sketches etc..but find time in the day to work on the chosen piece.
you'd be surprised at what you'll learn pushing something that far and that long.
danlucas/the ANGRY filipino - Thanks a lot guys, i will keep that in mind.
I am back - these are some that i've not uploaded.
(last one is an epic fail with watercolours.)
I shall update this when i can :)
Been a while. #107!
The best thing about working in the creative industry is that you can go to work with your hair tied up like an idiot and with un-ironed shirt/jeans and slippers and no one would say a damn thing.
Much much better than teaching in a school.
I LOVE IT (BECAUSE I'M SUCH A SLOB)
ahahaha I agree :D Your hair is tied up really funny xD
Are you "normally" a teacher? xD
Keep rocking those portraits, improvement is on its way! :D
Sushy - HEHE. Previously, i taught photoshop, After effects, premiere pro and stuff like that in a secondary school. Had to look proper and i don't like dressing up. But now i'm doing vfx so yeah, i can be the slob i am. :D Thank you for dropping by! :)
EVERYONE LOOKS BETTER WITH AN EPIC MOUSTACHE.
This was for the royal fellas - dwarfing yourself. :D
Still trying used to painting with pen pressure set on.
Here's some self portraits during my dormant times. They were all pretty bad so this bunch will be #111.
Thought it would be a good idea to do a self portrait when i'm this swollen and in pain after having a surgery taking out 2 of my wisdom teeth.
I still have 2 more to take out. D:
hey amirah, what's up ? i see some improvments laaadyyy !! hope everything is right for you !! and good luck for the fasting month, it's really hard in france coz it's really hot here ! hope the weather is better at singapore ! keep it up sis !!
kikindaface - Hey there! One more week to Eid! It's been pretty warm here, but i'm in the air-conditioned office all day, so it doesn't affect me that much! Hope you're doing well! :)
I got impulsive yesterday and bought a watercolour pad. I haven't been doing any traditional stuff lately so this was a nice change. Terrible try though :P
as you can see i'm emotionally unbalanced for this week.
I got the likeness pretty close but it's been so long, i've forgotten how to blend. Again. D'oh!
llooking good moo you are improving , keep going at it!
Hi there dimodee! Nice to meet you too! You've got some sweet portraits there! But i do suggest making your own sketch thread (and removing the ones here since it's my own personal development thread). Keep it going and i'll drop by when you have one! :)
