Life Drawings of the Undead
I've read this site for a long time and never have posted much. So, I thought that I'd start a sketchbook to hopefully become more active on here.
This post has been edited and the original images removed so that I could put up a decent thumbnail image.
Big changes for tmbritton
So I've recently moved from Detroit to Austin. What a nice change. There's so much more here art-wise that it's ridiculous. I've been going to life drawing sessions twice a week for the last month or so and I've began oil painting again. Strangely, after 5 years of neglect these paintings look better than what I was doing before. I guess that I've just seen so much more cool stuff that I like in that time on this site and other places that I've absorbed a little bit.
So, this big dump represents about a month of figure drawing. I'm only uploading the ones that I don't find embarrassing. There's a few more. These are all probably 30 minutes - 1 hour. I believe that they are presented here in chronological order.
Thanks for looking and if anybody has any suggestions for how to improve the life drawing, I'm all ears. I think I know the real answer already: just keep doing it.
They can't all be zingers
Here's a couple from today. I had to cut the drawings session short today. These are the only drawings that I did.
